I have ideas, no idea if you can even accept them.
  • a browser locked to a specific address. Saw that idea in the swapnote thread.
This would allow having Messenger, Hangouts, Swapnote and other "web-apps" on the home menu.
  • the simplest multiplayer game you can do, like pong. Just as an example for people who want to do multiplayer games
  • and since we have an option for "music player", why not one for "video player"? We can already play moflex and JPGV but they both come in "inject cia" format, we can't have 1 icon on the home menu that leads to a selection menu to browse files (even if it only lists the contents of 1 folder, that would allow 10 videos with 1 icon only, and without conversion if it supports mp4 for example). I saw someone request that in another topic too and I don't remember who or where but I liked the idea.

How about a Pokémon mystery gift server for android. So that you can receive Mystery gift events over local network by hosting the files on your smartphone?
Just picked up Omega Ruby and saw that I missed a ton of event Pokémon ;)

There are already some forwarders for some sites (Gmail and Twitter and maybe more). It won't be a chaos to find those on a 3ds warez site (the forwarders uses SDK).

That's not really the same. These forwarders "just" open the link in the integrated browser. So they "only" save me the time I need to open the browser and select a bookmark.
I was talking about a full browser (that would be locked to an URL). And yeah, that's another level of required work, but he's asking for ideas so I give some :P

Now, why would a full browser be better than just using the integrated one (with forwarders or bookmarks)?
Well, it could be tailored to the needs, with some CSS adjustments or whatever (for the one website it's going to access), and with better input methods than the one in the integrated browser (probably especially for Swapnote).

So basically the Youtube app? lol
Would it be possible to reverse engineer the Youtube app to to create this? (By changing the start url?)
Tubehax exploit redirected YouTube dns to custom ip hosting a WebKit exploit.
Bafore the patch, we were able to redirect YouTube app to every other site by making a custom dns.
I guess it won't be hard to edit the original YouTube app to load custom sites and css.

Yeah that's what I was thinking lol
Well, the option is there if a dev wants to pursue it :P

Something fairly simple, easily doable, with source code. You don't need to port some elaborate game without source code...

Mari0 and Super Mario War seem a bit doable, but might be difficult. They do have source code (and LovePotion exists too)
Or maybe an EarthBound/UNDERTALE-esque simple RPG engine?

At the moment, it seems DOSbox is winning. So, I've prepared a little something for everyone. Take a look! :)
