Only if you don't know what you're doing, or have no clue about IDUs in the first place. (There is a disclaimer within xyzz's installation app for a reason!)
If you leave wifi on without blocking online paths to update files, then you are making yourself prone to automatic updates without you even agreeing to licenses or being told that an update file is being downloaded in the first place.

tl;dr, use at your own risk, I guess...
How to block online path ? I dont know if there are update blocker on ubuntu

You're on Demo Mode now, right?

Press and hold down the L + R + Up + Start buttons for a total of 5 seconds, and your system app should all reappear again.

Phew, that's a relief! I thought I just turned my PSTV into a semibrick.

I'm going to try getting Package Installer now. VitaUpdateBlocker is sufficient for protecting myself from updates, right? I'd rather not connect to the internet at all and just use a LAN while in IDU mode, but the email application isn't functioning correctly so I must rely on internet to activate HENkaku.

I don't have much experience with update blocking; all I use to block myself from updates is Charles Proxy which instantly shows up any outgoing connections to Sony servers from my Vita so I can block them in an instant when necessary.
By all means, try out update blocker, but I haven't tried it out yet myself.

The offline version are not here on demo mode?

I had the offline version already installed, but when I enter the email application it states that it won't work without a memory card inserted. However, I do have a memory card in the system. I think that the application just doesn't work in IDU mode.

Charles' Proxy seems more powerful, got a reliable link for setting it up?

Does the O button behavior setting apply on top of games too, or just system menu? I really wish I could have O as select universally. And I don't wanna have any risk of losing HENKaku right now, so I'm not trying this yet ;-;

It depends on the game. Some respect the new setting and some do not. It's the same with the PSP and PS3.

Use VitaUpdateBlocker to block the update, and use PKG Installer via WiFi

PKG installer over Wifi works? It said only USB would work.

It works. Trust me.
As long as the QCMA detects the PSTV in the network, it will connect to it.

Open CMA on the PSTV
Connect to the PC running VitaUpdateBlocker and QCMA
Switch to the Package Installer app, and selected the Content Manager option.
The PKG detected by QCMA will show up to install over WiFi.

I think so... I don't deal with linux... But remember: this only blocks the update. It doesn't let you get into the PSN store.

Set your Vita/PSTV to connect to your PC with the Proxy settings.
In your PC it will say "Current version is YYY, Latest version is XXX, spoofing to XXX".
Just try it out. If it asks to update, just cancel it.

Wait... What?
The idea of this is to avoid the update. If you are getting error, that's good.
This is only used to connect to the PC QCMA; and bypass the update request. That's all.

@Voxel Studios: Do you have the time to test these for me in the Package Installer on IDU 3.60 Mode? If yes, let me know if they install and run please.
I think they won't work on my PSTV with 3.20 FW Package Installer... Only want to make sure the result is the same in a higher FW version.
