It's strange that this seems to be a somewhat rare problem but it seems unsolvable. Of course it would happen to me, too. ._.

Is there any way I can exploit the base game into thinking the male avatar is a female, or vice versa? It wouldn't be as in depth as having this entire hack, but at the least I would still be able to get (seemingly) gay married, right? Or am I completely misguided. >_>

I don't think it's that easy lol. On a side note, I tried another romfs file, you know like the undub, ect. And that does not work for me either. So now I really have no idea what it is I'm doing wrong.

Could it be something wrong with homebrew/HANS itself? I'm really not sure since I have no clue how any of this actually works. v_v

I wonder if it is worth it for me to try doing the NTR CFW method, but it seems twice as confusing as the HANS way and evidently I've had enough trouble already with that.

If you're on 11.0 you can't use CFW unless you hardmod, sadly.

I just re-downloaded/extracted a couple of things and then tried to open it from browserhax rather than oot3dhax (not sure if this would make any difference) and instead of it freezing on a distorted screen, it was distorted for a second and then went to a dim black screen. (Where it then froze.) I almost had a heart attack thinking it was going to actually work. Maybe this is progress and I just need to keep re-trying different small things. >_>

Update: I got it to open!!!! I am not 100% sure if it'll work exactly how it should yet, but the fact that it finally opened after weeks of trying is a huge relief. Devster77, I am not sure which exploit you have been using to open homebrew, but I used this guide and opened it from menuhax that's what seems to have worked for me. Good luck!

I've been using browserhax this whole time, I don't have ocarina of time. I guess I'll give menuhax a try since you got it that way, hopefully that works. I'll update once I give it a go.

i tried both what deathchaos25 suggested and the menuhax method but its still the same

Although, I fixed this problem by keeping the file to the last 8 digits of the filename, plus .romfs at the end, so I got '0017A800.romfs'
...it'll likely be different for you, but give this a try if you haven't already.

I too am struggling to get this to work. Do I need to dump the game with HANS or braindump? Either way, it doesn't work. But I'll try reading some of the posts above me to try to figure it out.

However, come to think of it, I know the Beruka/Saizo C support was broken in the game. Has it been fixed yet in this patch?

EDIT: Everyone seems to be using a cartridge of the game. My copy is digital, will it still work with HANS?

I think that mostly depends on if you've done any S supports or not.
If not, it should be fine to use what you have but do be aware that supports will be jumbled up.

Okay so, I asked this earlier but never got an answer. Why are Leo and Yukimura able to support each other, even though the player won't be able to see it without hacking Yukimura into Revelation or Conquest? Did you make it so you could get Yukimura in Revelation?

Basically, certain characters can't support outside of their routes for example, Selena's supports are locked if you hack her into Birthright.

This patch removes the support lock for all characters, and Yukimura and Leo is an example of a support that you can now do should you choose to hack him in, just like the Corrin x Corrin support was added.

Sorry to ask another question so soon, but I read somewhere that while running a HANS mod you can't access DLC or the internet/internet functions lik mycastle battles, I was curious A) how true this was, and B) if that would prevent me from playing my additional paths (like conquest if my card is birthright)?
EDIT: Oh, sorry, I also was curious about going back and forth between playing the modded version and not? (Obviously not on the same file, but can I have a non modded game and a modded game going at the same time without any problems?)

I'm able to use DLC with HANS, not sure on the other things, though...
