Hacking N3DS XL 11.0 hardmod downgrade failing all the time. Options?

try using the gateway time machine software, i had a console that didnt play well with the normal sysupdater tools and GW time machine worked....also try switching SD cards as another time i had one that didnt work with either of the tools and it ended up being the SD card was funky

@everyone who answered me:
I'm using freakyhax since it came out and I've never seen this error. i'll try CN and OoT.
Will give GW's Time Machine a shot before, since those other 2 games are not here today with me.

What else have I tried:
1) waited 5 minutes in the options menu for each one of these 3 homebrews without luck.

You mean to wait in the HAX INIT for some time? Did it eventually work for you after waiting there?

I cannot get GW.3dsx to launch no matter how many times I try...

BTW, I'm in 11.0.0-33U (FIRM downgraded to 10.4)... should have worked, right?

yeah should work fine i have used it several times for downgrading systems as its kinda quicker than other tools *braces for hurrrdurrr posts* seeing as consoles im downgrading are hardmodded i dont care about safety checks etc and one big file copies to the SD faster than 100 small files that need to be switched over half way through the process

What if you rename gw.3dsx to boot.3dsx and try to get it to launch right away?

do a hex compare of the original nand dump vs the firm injected nand to make sure it hasnt just messed up and not done the firm downgrade

@gamesquest1, binary comparing the NANDs I can see the nand.bin (downgraded one is really different... I guess the injection went fine.

I've tried CN and when I read the QR code the console freezes and the game quits with the same message when you use the "wrong QR code". I've tried 10.4, 10.7 and 11.0 (though these last two are the same) without luck.

I'll try OoT tonight but I'm running out of ideas.

Did anyone ever see this thing?

Try entering with BrowserHax, as it's been updated to 11.0. I've just heard CN is finnicky on 11.

Once the patched nand is written back, use the 10.7 payload for CN. From there launch homebrew and psyupdater, pressing Y immediately once it launches.

Also, make sure power is plugged in.

Cubic ninja has a very low boot rate on 11.0. So low that you just should not use it, there is a patch, but you gotta know how to set it up. I sure can't.

I got Ninjhax loading first try after the 11.0 -> 10.4 downgrade. Isn't the 10.4 firm allowing it to work as if in 10.7 or lower?

If you need many tries to open it, then you didn't successful downgrade the NFIRM.

Just make sure to use the 10.4.0-X QR code. Otherwise, just follow Plaitect's guide as normal.

EDIT: Ninjhax works fine on 10.4, so NVM what I said about the low boot rate.

I used the 11.0 QR code, worked first try. I think any QR above 10.4 should work.

try to extract autofirm to a new folder and start from there
after you create nand.bin then use any entry point to get into homebrew (i used Zelda OOT, can be used because its 10.4 firmware patched). Hit sysupdater and you should be in 9.2.
BUT if you fail to run rxtools (old3DS) / PastaCFW / any homebrew program, you need to update your firmware using game cart to a higher firmware and dwongrade again. Then you should be ok.
just share my experience with old3ds and new3ds. Oh with new3ds hardmod, i need a certain type of card reader for dumping nand.
