The official LGBT pride day is comming this Tuesday!

What are your thoughts about this day?

Do you support and tolerate the LGBT Community?

If you are part of the LGBT community. Are you happy about it? Do you gonna go to the march?

Do you hate it? Why?

And...

Do you respect and tolerate people part of the LGBT community?

I have never quite got the desire for a parade, at the same time I have no issues with the parades themselves other than the usual disruption of traffic.

Otherwise I am not terribly concerned with what genitals you wish to fumble, or not, or have surgically altered to resemble another sort (or have that as a theoretical end goal). As far as I can tell it has no bearing your morality, ability to reason or impact on health and welfare systems relative to the idea of suppressing/ignoring it.

I guess a parade could maintain awareness so that could be useful for various goals (things seem pretty good right now and are getting better but they are hardly there), at the same time one wonders if overt things help more than harm in some cases. I imagine finding someone for genital fumbling and more in such events is a bit easier too.

What is the LGBT[add more letters as you so desire] community? Is it you are or otherwise support the notions so you are in or is it something you actively have to participate in? If it is the former then I can not really have an issue with something so nebulous, if it is the latter then I could have some issues with some things but in this case none have done anything I particularly take issue with.

Listen, it's great people don't have to hide who they "truly are" (or think themselves to be), but is a parade really in order here? The LGBT community is well represented and unarguably protected by social standards as-is - if someone were to talk bad about a "member" of the LGBT community they'd, in turn, be trashed and set aside, which is exactly the thing that the LGBT "community" says they're against (albeit, for different reasoning). Furthermore, I find the LGBT community to be comprised primarily of whiners who believe it's them Vs. society, when in actuality, that couldn't be any more wrong! As I've said, the LGBT community is widely recognized as a "strong community of those able to face society and embrace their true colors". So cut the crap, they're not misrepresented in society, nor do they deserve any form of special treatment whatsoever. And before you say it, I'm not anti-gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender, in fact, I support them. I just am sick of hearing about the LGBT community - it's being shoved down my throat! I can't go fucking anywhere to escape them, it's like they want to be the superior class of human beings, or something.

As a transgender girl, I am honestly not a big fan of "Pride Day/Month." Though I understand the reasons behind them, I also find that they don't progress us forward. We just want to show the world that we are normal people like everyone else and shouldn't be treated as anything special, but then we have days like this that kind of defeat the purpose.
If you really want pride, just be you. You don't need a day, month, ect. you just need to be you.

I'm a complete dyke and I hate the Pride Parade here. Too many politicians trying to profit off of queer culture. And the fact the Pride usually means more exposure for gay men NOT the transgender, asexuals and bisexuals, and whatever. It pisses me off that it's become a "let's go down and see Pride". I will probably march in one if I had a mask on - because I still feel like being filmed in one is dangerous as hell...

I disagree with pride parades.
Homosexuality/transsexuality etc should be normal, like it was in "ye olden Roman days" etc.
It's been normal for thousands of years but suddenly due to some drunk fool writing a bunch of bullshit in a book (which became the most stolen book on earth, go figure) it's suddenly an abomination and what not.

Coexist yo, aka shut up and keep to yourself.

What book would that be? Not the Bible, since most of it (including the original reference to homosexuality) was written thousands of years before the Romans even existed, and because getting drunk is forbidden in it.

For the record, I have no problem with LGBT people. My best friend is bisexual. I have a problem with homosexual sex (which is all the Bible actually forbids, nobody chooses how they are tempted). She knows I disagree with her having a girlfriend, but we live just fine. You don't have to agree on everything to be happy together, despite what ridiculous college kids seem to think.

Any religious book, they're all full of hypocrisies.
It really is time to rewrite those to fit 21st century standards.

No offense but.
You know how dumb that sounds?
It's the same as I would say that I got a problem with heterosexual sex.

Seriously tho, what two consenting adults do in their private time is nobodies business.

Ahahah that expression made me laugh really hard. Thank you.

Boy, if only.

Most of the LGBT whatever stuff kinda gets on my nerves, but because I respect people, I keep to myself. And in all honestly, it usually doesn't even cross my radar until things like parades and other things happen. That's mostly when i start getting annoyed.

The parade is so needless at this point, i don't think being homosexual or whatever you like calling it such a big deal as long as it doesn't get in my way somehow which parades do as they usually end up causing a lot of commotion on the road making it harder for people such as myself that are just trying to get from point A to point B a living hell
My entire stance on homosexuality is "Okay that's cool don't rub it in or flirt with me we're good"

You don't see any "straight pride parades" neither.
I agree on it.

You don't just change the word of God to what's currently popular. Your past two posts have shown quite a bit of ignorance on the subject of religion. You seem to lack even a basic understanding. Now that's fine. I know absolutely nothing about many country's politics. However, I don't go around calling them dumb. There is a certain event going on in the UK right now (don't want to derail the topic), and when people ask me about my opinion, I say I don't know enough about it to make an informed opinion.

No offense but.

I want you to re-evaluate that statement. You said no offense, then called my statement dumb. I wasn't offended because I am fine with differing opinions, but you're still showing quite a bit of hypocrisy there. My bff and I are perfectly fine with disagreeing on certain things. She thinks my religion is stupid. I think many parts of her lifestyle are wrong. We aren't so immature that we can't deal with differences though.

Seriously tho, what two consenting adults do in their private time is nobodies business.
The people in the gay pride parades would seem to disagree with that statement. ;) Besides, it's not like I'm asking anyone about they're sexual orientation.

Haha yeah where's mah straight parade. Nah that would be considered oppression or something.
Yeah this whole thing is just a little tough but I do my best to be understanding. Especially when I have friends gayer than a 3 dollar bill, like you dinoh <3 Lord knows I wouldnt want someone to be after me for something I believe in.

I personally think there's no place for a religion that follows it book to the letter.
Laws from the 1800's and early 1900's are also rewritten or simply abandoned cause they don't form to modern day standards anymore.

No matter how many times I repeat to meself what you said, it remains a stupid statement.
Call me narrow minded but eh.
If you and her can agree upon it, who am I to say otherwise.

I don't agree on pride parades neither ._.

My knowledge isn't that great on topic of the bible but i know the scripts have been altered numerous times as apparantley in the older times you were literally allowed to rape your sister...

I agree with you on this front saying no offense doesn't instantly nullify anything rude you've said

Don't group everyone together on that front i do agree that lately especially on temp people have felt the need to overshare about their sexual orientation (at the young age of 11 what the hell?) but just because there's some lame people on their side you also have some terrible people over on the religious side for example

but i have to ask you something pretty risky
Are you really okay with trusting a book that's been written ages ago and believing that nobody back then lied?

[EDIT]= Also that wink? Nice and condescending are we?
