Hacking Does luma region free fix download play also?

I have a friend with cfw jp 3ds, but he can't seem to download play with us region games. If region free doesn't fix download play also, is there an up to date region change guide i can use? Most guides I've found is for 4.5, need gateway etc and phailects one is for a9lh.

You can try to use the included Region Free Launcher in the Homebrew launcher, then start a game, then make someone else who has the same region as the game join.

But if that doesn't work, use this guide here.

If you want to region change, use Plailect's guide. It is not just for a9LH. You'll need to do some working around since the guide assumes you have a9LH, but it should work fine.

The guide assumes you can use GodMode9 as a payload, among other things. The basic idea should be unchanged. Downgrade your emunand using the 9.2 pack, delete some titles, edit SecureInfo_A.
