Gaming US Rythm Heaven Megamix on a JP N3DS

I have a US 3DS with Luma/A9LH, and I installed a crypto fixed cia of the US Rhythm Heaven Megamix, which works fine.

I set up a friend's Japanese N3DS with Menuhax/Luma, and all US version cias work just fine -- except that same Rhythm Heaven.

I have region/language emulation enabled, and I created a locale txt file using the game ID FBI tells me it is, all to no avail. It always freezes on a black screen requiring a hard reset.

Any ideas?

Same problem here but for the EU 3ds. updated FBI, checked the language emulation, created luma/locales with .txt file in it..
still hangs on nintendo loading screen.

yup, works on my EUR 3ds thanks to the locales .txt method. Does your text file contain any text in it?

Mine has: USA US

Try with USA EN and make sure there's no double .txt at the end of the file (if you chose to hide extension the actual .txt may not be showing).

I have a Eur 3ds but gateway emunand (with gateway card) and the CIA of Rhythm Usa works.

Mine is, as far as I know, correct. No double txt, USA EN in the file, and I've triple checked that the file name is correct.

Locales works for other games -- I've used it successfully to force Luigi's Mansion in English.

Could it be the dump?

Kinqdra, did you get yours from that ISO site? Is it the cryptofixed one?

That said, the same dump works just fine on my US 3DS.

Used mine from the iso site yeah, waiting for a guy uploading another version

Where did you get it? That ISO site? Which dump? The cryptofixed one?

What region is your 3DS?

I had the same problem (USA file, JPN N3DS), my solution was to get a cryptofixed file and then open by HANS, even the cryptofixed file doesn't open from home menu and HANS stopped when I tried to open the common, not cryptofixed file. I hope this can help and sorry for my bad english.

That said, the same dump works just fine on my US 3DS.

Here's exactly what I did:
1. downloaded and installed the cia through cia angel
2. opened it and got black screens
3. updated fbi to the latest version so I could download the seeds for the game
4. opened the file and got black screens again
5. made a folder called "locales" inside of the luma folder, made a .txt file inside of it called "000400000018A400" and wrote USA EN inside of it
6. opened it successfully

Try downloading the game through cia angel, downloading the seeds from the newest fbi and then creating the locales .txt file.

On that iso site there is a guy who posted a QR code for it. Scan that with FBI and download it. Works for me and I'm on Luma

You just have to view its page in the eShop to get the seed or something. That's how I fixed mine.
