Now I get:
Configuration file not found: /boot.cfg
Creating default configuration...
Press any key to continue...

And then it freezes.
delete the boot.3dsx and boot.cfg. then delete the rxtools folder and boot_hb.3dsx. now unpack the luma3ds.dat the 3ds folder and the luma folder to the root of the sd. now extract the boot.3dsx from the menuhax folder and place it on the root

this error usually means you've made a syntax error in boot.cfg. also I think that if you use the boot.3dsx from the "menuhax" folder, you can't use the homebrew launcher unless I'm mistaken.

Yup, that's right, follow that part of the guide now, and you'll be on 9.2.0-20U.

Alrighty, did everything as you mentioned and I am now on 9.2.0-20U.

Once back on 9.2.0 and with your OTP.bin.
You'll want to basically read over the parts after the steps here, telling you how to get A9LH back onto your system.

Okay, so basically do part 5 at this point while doing this.

Do Part 5 - arm9loaderhax
  • Copy SafeA9LHInstaller's 3ds folder instead of the arm9 and arm11 bin files
  • Launch SafeA9LHInstaller from Homebrew menu instead of browser
  • Skip steps related to "emergency files"
  • Skip steps related to "RedNAND"
  • Skip Section IV and Section V
  • Update to the latest system version after completing Section VI

Should I go through the homebrew menu or browser? &skips those steps relating to restoring the emunand to my sysnand and just go on ahead with Section VI?

Just get into the Homebrew Menu by whatever entrypoint you have, what it means by not through the browser, it means we can't use the 2.1 browser url. We have to get into HBL first, then launch//run SafeA9LHInstaller. Make sure you have all the files you need in the /a9lh folder. As well as your OTP.bin!

Edit: You still want to do Section I, skipping steps that don't relate to you. Once on Section II, you'll want to get to SafeA9LHInstaller via Homebrew Menu (either through browserhax//menuhax or whatever other *hax you have and prefer using) You then do Section III, Skip Section IV and V, then do the final section VI. And you should pretty much be good to go.

There's no need to thank me or tell me how awesome I am~ <3 (you should tho)

^_^

Ok so I got Luma to work but my 3ds still crashes a few seconds after entering the home menu.

Edit: The only app I can open before my 3ds crashes is the camera.

So i finally finished installing arm9 and am at the system transfer and it says both systems will be formatted. This wont remove my cfw will it?

It was my understanding a system format won't remove it, but perhaps someone with more experience can confirm this for you. Based on the time stamp of your post I'm sure you've long since gone ahead with it though.

Edit: just saw someone else replied the same. Glad it worked out for you.

Hi,
I am trying to update my o3DS OFW v4.5 to v9.2 using the tutorial by Plailect.
I have finished this step.
The tutorial suggest me to the "Get Started" step.
does it mean I need to follow from Part 1 - Homebrew ?

if yes, what have I done so far with my 3DS?
can't I just go directly to Part 1 - Homebrew ?

You are on 9.2.0, that's what you have done so far.

Follow Part 1, then when you get to Part 2, skip it, as it does not relate to you, then go to Part 3, and keep going.

hmm...that's strange. I am still on OFW v4.5
during the process, I do not think there is any step that upgrades the OFW.

Attempting to use 3DNUS to download the title for the internet browser gave me an error and downloading (through 3DSNUS) installing 11.0.0-20U actually installs 10.7.0-32U. Any help would be appreciated.
If anyone is interested I believe 11.0.0-20U is a frankenfirmware that shows up as 10.7.0-32U but has a bricked browser, not that this is helpful at all.

Do you have an emunand by any chance? Are you sure you booted rxmode into sysnand, and not into emunand.

this 3DS had RXTools CFW v11.x before and I am planning to install Luma3DS+a9lh from scratch.
So, I format the microSD, and I see in System Setting, the OFW is v4.5.

I did that tutorial step-by-step until finish with a fresh microSD.
So, I did boot rxtools into sysnand, didn't I?

Try with another microSD, and do the steps again. Apart from that, don't know what else to tell you.

I just want to play some DS games on Luma using the Gateway Blue Card. I have 2 questions, current setup is a9lh Luma latest fw.

1.) Do I still need to install that timewarp file to make it recognizable?
2.) Does the Blue Card have a maximum SD card size compatibility?

Thx in advance.

EDIT: Answered this on my own. Just needed to format the sd correctly.
