What if Nintendo is trolling us all, and the actual full version has gender choice?
Oh God I hope not. I don't want to start a debate, but listen, and listen well; Link is a GUY. Nothing else. Not ifs ands or buts, he's a boy. I just don't understand why Link suddenly needs to become transgender so females can have the novelty of playing as female link.

Doesn't change the fact that it's a generic as hell looking game that's only being made as Nintendo's attempt to cash in on the open world craze.
It's funny how you try to judge a game that you haven't even been able to play, and also have saw less than .002% of the game itself.

Except, for the fact the Original LoZ was Open world. Hell.. Even to a large extend Zelda 2 was open world.

To be honest, i hope there is more voice acting, and more characters, or zelda, or ganondorf or shiek, goron, zora, kokiri...
I think it's unlikely there will be Kokiri when there are Koroks.

Whatever negative comments you throw, this is the game that will make me purchase a wii U
hahaha
Or the NX? That might be recommended if you don't already have a Wii U.

Im pretty sure it'll be damn expensive on release, and I'm not really into buying new consoles on their first day. Yeah yeah, i'm a cheapskate. I'll buy NX when the price get's lower though :tpi::tpi:

We obviously don't have the numbers in front of us yet, but I would imagine the cost of buying the Wii U before also buying the NX (after a price drop) would still be more than merely buying the NX at launch and skipping the Wii U entirely. If you think you will likely get an NX at some point anyway, the smart thing to do might be to skip the Wii U.

I guess I'll keep that in mind too, probably wait for some person to be disappointed(which I am sure :rofl2:) and sell it online for a discounted price lol.

There's also the fact that the NX might be backwards compatible with Wii U games.

See my comment in the trailer thread

I wouldn't be surprised if BotW Is either scaleable (same game disk works on both consoles but has upgraded graphics on NX) or buying the Wii U version gives you the NX version for free or at a big discount on the eShop.

fuck off nintendo not buying it if i can't name link blade

Never mind that, since Wolf Link references your TPHD save it might bring over your Link's name; I which case I shall do a run with the name "Dogmeat"

It's all just speculation at this point. However, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild would be the first 3D console game to take place on the Fail Timeline, so I'm skeptical.

It's possible. This timeline seems to be closest to the long-lost technologically advanced civilization that is referenced in nearly all Zelda games. I wonder if it may hint at a Ouroboros storyline.

This one won't have it, but I think it would be interesting if you had a choice in characters that changes the story and gameplay a little. Like playing as Linkette or Zelda in a Hero Mode or something where your attacks and defense is a little reduced but you got mad range attacks.

Grabbing an NX. Not for this, though. I'm a tad skeptical as to how the Open world idea will be good for the series. To be fair? While the stories were mostly linear in past Zelda games? You had free roaming. So, what can open world do? Hm.

There are people like @starly whose favorite part about Skyward Sword was literally flying the Loftwing around Skyloft. There are people like me whose favorite part about Ocarina of Time was exploring the world and looking for secrets. The open world concept is catered to people like us. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that for those who are core fans of the series and just want to blast through the game to get to the dungeons for puzzles, the game will probably spoonfeed you. That theory is supported by the fact that at the very beginning of the demo, your psychic guide tells you to go to a location marked on your Shieka Slate, immediately after not one, but two cutscenes orienting you as to where you are and directing you towards promiscuously placed items to get your berrings

That didn't quite answer my question. How is this one any different than past Zelda games? My idea of open world is being to explore and find secrets... Which I was able to do in the past games?

... Or is it because it's just one giant map? >>

So we may not be able to edit his name? That's craaaaay!

... Also, FUCK YES FOR VOICE ACTING."

I like the tech vibe going on.
I'm glad that Zelda:BotW will have a voice-acting narrator like in Hyrule Warriors had. So tired of reading the text boxes and sometimes I can't be bothered to read them all because of the action happening.
