From what I've read, it may be in the demise timeline, where link failed in OOT. So possibly a sequel of the first Zelda games.

It's all just speculation at this point. However, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild would be the first 3D console game to take place on the Fail Timeline, so I'm skeptical.

Thanks guys! After everything, I'm REALLY thinking it's in the downfall timeline, (and for some reason koroks are there. Maybe they just liked the design and brought them back, or maybe they had other reasons for evolving)

This is actually a legitimate concern of mine. I'm hoping it's more like a typical Zelda game than every generic open world PC game I've played. Not that games like Ark: Survival are bad, but it's not what I want in a Zelda game.

To get back to the timeline, I can't rationalize the presence of the Koroks without it falling on the Wind Waker timeline.

To be honest, i hope there is more voice acting, and more characters, or zelda, or ganondorf or shiek, goron, zora, kokiri, aand magic, where the heck is my magic, I want naryu lov, din fire and farore wind, i want cool tools lik hookshot and hover boots. I am disappointed with the cel-shade look, bUUUUUUTTTTTT i just hope it has puzzles and same zelda formula!

Otherwise I'm playing master quest again.
