Homebrew [ Question ] N3DS bundled FW?

Hey, I'm wondering what FW i can expect to get when i purchase a N3DS XL this month ( most likely next week ) i have seen the thread about the serial numbers, but i'm just asking based off of what any of you guys may have gotten if you purchased a N3DS XL recently. thanks!

Whatever you get won't be on 11.0, which is all that really matters. Chances are it will be one that's vulnerable to browserhax as well.

thanks so much! that really took a lot of stress off of my back. will the FW most likely be able to downgrade?

Every firmware can downgrade except for 11.0. And since you have a 0% chance of getting one with 11.0, you have a 100% chance of getting one that can downgrade.

10.5 should be the highest possible fw, which is the last fw before you're forced to pay for downgrades.

I've seen two users get 10.7.0-32U consoles. these were brand new ones, no special edition or anything.

JPN? that's the only region that has an 8.1.0-0J New3DS. all others have 9.0.0-20+

There's no 8.0 fw for n3ds

I don't remember the number after 8, though, but I'm sure it's 8.0.

was it JPN? then you'd probably mean 8.1.0-0J. otherwise there is no pre-9.0 version for New3DS for other regions.

The N3DS I have is US, but it could be 8.1.
