That's actually pretty cool. Hey, Mega-Mew... Do you have an idea how to edit the game's code, so I can edit the players speed for example? I have a file called exefs.bin, but I don't know how I can extract code.bin out of it. I guess I have to edit code.bin to change the players speed, right? Cheers!
I did it with a cheat code who can change the speed, but not with the exefs (it's more hardwith the exefs)

Okay, so... Do you know how I can change personalities? I changed my villager t-Bone to the tortimer model and renamed both, but I'm not quite happy with tortimers new personality and his jingle. Any chances that I can change him to the REAL tortimer?

would it possible at all to make a rom hack that allows you to place any house items outdoors like in home designer? this has always been my dream thing to be able to do in animal crossing games...

i think this means editing the games code so hard

I found the textures for the various wings of the museum in the Bg folder, but I couldn't find the texture for this particular wall:
latest

Would anyone happen to know where it's located?

I think you should read some of the first threads, because Mega-Mew and some other people found out how the acres of the town map work. Maybe we can copy a property from the house code to the acres of the town map. Maybe then we are able to place furniture outside, what actually would be pretty cool :P If this doesn't work, you nevertheless could switch some PWP's with furniture models. Have a great day :)

That's strange, I also can't find it... Maybe it's located where all the other textures for the walls are? Cheers!

if it's not possible I wouldn't bother with any substitute. since New leaf came out I thought it was pretty annoying how they even introduced the PWP system for small furniture like things when they could have easily made it like home designer where you can place indoor furniture items outdoors.

If it's just too difficult and very hard to do at this time patience and waiting for someone with the skill to also want this done comes along.

So guys, I searched ACCF stuff to find the lightsabers' brres files.
I'm trying to replace the gold axe with the blue one.
I managed to do it with EFE, blender and a little bit of HEX editing.
I load up my town, go through Isabelle and head towards my gold axe.
Right when I select to use the axe, my game freezes while doing the "puts-arm-in-the-air-and-summons-tool" animation, it freezes.
any idea?

If yall wanna see the bcres file I can do so.

Bcres files are not cross compatable from one game to another, the models inside specifically. So pulling the model and textures out and moving them into NewLeaf won't work.

I havent had any luck with any custom made bcres files of any kind yet. I think only mega-mew has had suvh luck and they don't seem to be currently involved with animal crossing havking at the moment.

appearently, custom models requires having a specific PC setup, the ctr dev kit, a 3D program that works with the dev kit (maya I think) and much more knowhow than I have for sure. I can't figure out how to set up a clean dev environment without screwing something up or expiring a free trial on something or another, so I think I'm stuck where you might be stuck :p

Good luck nonetheless, I think it would be really cool to have a lightsabre ax!

Would making something from scratch in blender and importing it into a bcres file work?

Thats where I'm having the trouble. AC:NL doesn't seem to accept anything that wasn't made with the official SDK. Making something in blender and importing it doesn't seem to work for me at least. All my tests have ended with the game freezing on the frame that the object is called into play. Most of my edits were to player models and clothing. (Hats, specifically) but it might work for other things? Idk. If you know more about modeling and bcres file structure than me (which lets face it, doesn't take much. I know close to nothing, this project was the first time I ever used blender) you might be able to get it to work.

If you have the official SDK, it should work. I think the SDK requires a dev kit environment and Maya, or some other "professional" 3D program to use. (Read, expensive and not user friendly)
