i think he means that the card stops working after a certain date, like some of the r4 clonesWhat do you mean a "time bomb"?
I've never heard of that happening. My old R4 still works fine, I use it in my DS Phat for dumping DS and GBA games.I mean does the flashcart play dead after a certain date
I thought it was pretty obvious
Must be some pretty crappy clones. I doubt DSTwo would do something like that, they seem to have a pretty good reputation outside of the DSTwo+.i think he means that the card stops working after a certain date, like some of the r4 clones
no it doesn't have a "time bomb"well I guess the answer so far is "no", unless someone has something else to say? and I guess time bomb was the wrong phrase to say really, because that would imply that the flashcart is pernamently dead but reinstalling the os fixes it on most flashcarts with a set date to break
yeah I was saying time bomb in a metaphorical kind of way but thnxno it doesn't have a "time bomb"
this time bomb you area talking about should only be present on the flashcarts that has a year on the sticker (for example 2014)
it's 2016 i can still use my dstwo just fine and my ds clock is correct
This is called planned obsolence it's a companies tactic to make a higher profit here is a link with more infoI've never heard of that happening. My old R4 still works fine, I use it in my DS Phat for dumping DS and GBA games.

In my case I used to reinstall the firm twice a moth before it died but it was a cheap clone (the R4)well I guess the answer so far is "no", unless someone has something else to say? and I guess time bomb was the wrong phrase to say really, because that would imply that the flashcart is pernamently dead but reinstalling the os fixes it on most flashcarts with a set date to break
Only ones made by certain sites do.r4 has time bomb, never heard this
i've got mine since 2009 and still working as new....
dstwo since 2014, working as well
really?? =OOnly ones made by certain sites do.
Some R4 clones do this, the DSTWO does not. Nor does the r4ids.cn R4i Gold. Both are great carts in their own right and if you want the extra features of the DSTWO (ingame cheat menu, cheat searching, built in CPU with SNES/GBA support to name a few) and think the price of the DSTWO is fair then go with that. Otherwise go with the r4ids.cn R4i Gold. Personally i have a DSTWO (it was still cheaper than buying a DS game, so to me that's more than worth it) and I'm satisfied with it.I mean does the flashcart play dead after a certain date

I already have a DStwo, have used it like a couple years agoSome R4 clones do this, the DSTWO does not. Nor does the r4ids.cn R4i Gold. Then you should know that one of the biggest reasons the DSTWO is so popular is because it just works. It's persisted across firmware updates better than any other cart, and rarely needed updating, and even when it did Team SC had an update ready and released within a day. Not that it matters that much anymore since DS games are no longer being released and Nintendo stopped blocking DS flashcarts long ago. Though if they do decide some day to put in a big effort to block DS flashcarts the DSTWO might be the only one that survives due to the built in CPU allowing it to emulate retail carts more closelyI already have a DStwo, have used it like a couple years ago
