Is there a way to extract the seed of a particular game from seeddb.bin to use it with the latest version of FBI?

I would agree with Pokèidiot; but

1- no 9.6+ titles have been completely dropped from the eshop, so you can still download the seeds online (fbi2 automatically does this if you don't have the single seed file)
2- if you have it in the seeddb, you can cryptofix the cia to have a copy that will work long after the eshop closes!

Thank you. So far I was able to cryptofix Kirby Planet Robobot with Decrypt9, but is there a way to unlock the installed game from the main menu instead of having to load it from FBI (FBI cannot download the seed to unlock it)?

While that game is region free, the eShop isn't, and only the Japanese one has the correct seed for now... while it will be faster to uninstall what you have and reinstall the cryptofixed version, this might be a nice feature request for fbi2, choosing from where to download a seed!

Also, one of the PC GUIs for Funkeycia can display the seed itself, you could copy and paste it into a hex editor and there is your single seed file!

Interesting. Can you link me to that program?

It's 3dseStuff, once you enable its "secret" feature and reload the program, you can right click a title to copy the seed to the clipboard!

OH, thank you! That's what I was looking for. I really wish FBI had direct support for seeddb.bin to make things easier. I finally got the .dat file I was looking for. Thank you very much!
