If I were Plutoo, I would wait until everybody who claims to have a secondary exploit releases theirs so that he can release a primary to enable the usage of the secondary's before they patch the primary

This exploit can be useful to those who have VVVVVV or Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon for those who don't have it installed

but if he releases now, it will likely get patched, unless it is like the eshop/outdated game, and then those w/o VVVVVV or PSMD will have nothing to install possible secondary exploit games in the future, so I would wait until at least the ORAS one comes out

You must be new here. Starting "HYPE" on Gbatemp leads to unexpected failure of the project due to the members aboard the hype train continually nagging the developer to the point where the project isn't fun anymore and the project is abandoned. Please understand. The 3ds will be rammed by this hype train, and no longer be developed for.

Totally just joking, but am really looking forward to this project myself.

I'm sorry. :(

@Sonic Angel Knight Then without a new update to Health & Safety App, Hardmod or a new way to install Legit Cias you can"t do anything since the app will be there but with something injected there"s no way to show it without Signatures Patches. Anyways Health & Safety App no showing in the Home Menu doesn"t make any problem with all other use unless you need to send your console to Nintendo, they may don"t repair or accept the console with the injected bad Health & Safety App. The same apply if it isn"t anymore here, but I thought if it is deleted it will be downloaded when you update so it may still be there.

My only theory is if this downgrade is possible, then it would solve the problem. I assume the health and safty app is in a firmware package itself (Not update) example likee the one used to downgrade to receive the otp to install a9lh. Either way, if health and safety isnt needed then is not a problem.

ORAS will be patched so fast... and I almost bet they pull an Ironfall and don't let you start it without updating.
This won't happen. They can't force users to use the eShop, and if you buy a cartridge you have the right to play it (this is why they bundle firmware updates in cartridges). This has been covered in previous comments.

They can"t fix Pokemon ORAS permanently if it isn"t in a way like how they patched Cubic Ninja and Ocarina of Time 3D and launching new revisions in cartdriges and eShop with that patched, but the old ones are going to still have the entry point, but Nintendo don"t do the last one for any game that isn"t eShop only.

Only if they're still manufacturing new ones. ORAS might be out of print soon (if it isn't already). I am surprised the selects version of OoT wasn't patched though.

Is just repackaging, people do it a lot attempting to sell overstock products and extra copies that they couldn't before i guess to get some profit. some is better than none. :P

Ah I see, I thought they were doing another print run
Most of the reason people repackage products with fancy advertisement and reduced sales price is for that reason. Usa had sold super smash bros brawl for wii for 4 years at $50 until the wii u finally was released and sold it as nintendo selects with reduced price. Simply cause they wouldn't manufacturer anymore and wanna sell the last of the copies. Most old games like ocarinaof time 3d (2011 game) follow the process.

I'm pretty sure plutoo knows what he's doing, no point in keeping userland exploits private. Unless they're obscure to the point where you'd just be burning it.

Edit: or if they're primaries, but he announced he'd release so...
So what I'm getting here is "no reason to keep userland private unless it's obscure or primary" and I see "unless it's primary" part. Unless I'm misunderstanding, what's so horrible with releasing primary userland exploits? It's not a kernel exploit and still won't allow piracy, but just makes it so much easier to use userland hax.

Things like browser exploits or similar should be planned with secondaries so that if the primary dies a secondary can take over. Also with 11.0 the primary targets were primaries.

I had to update to 10.7 when I got a soft-brick in a previous downgrade attempt. I'm planning on buying whatever this exploit game is, but am I correct in thinking that I'll need to update to 11.0 in order to get this game from the eShop, and because 11.0 is incompatible with MemChunkHax or any other kernel hack, I then won't be able to downgrade and therefore won't be able to install a CFW?

How feasible do we think it is that either a new Kernel exploit will be found, or that existing ones might be updated to support 11.0?
