Repairing in eShop worked. Then I uninstalled the ticket and reinstalled with freeShop and it worked. I'm just a newb and thought seeds were linked to tickets. Nevermind me, still learning stuff about this.

Just tried ; game was downloaded with freeshop, seed installed with FBI, it works fine.

I'm pretty sure @Drakia wouldn't mind giving a few pointers about seeds. Or you can look at the implementation from FBI or CIAngel for the seed grabbing.

@Drakia, I know you don't want to work on this directly, but how about being a pal and helping just a little with seeds?

You have to be using the latest release of FBI so be sure to update that if you haven't. And then you go to title list, find your game and then the option to download seed should show up.

You probably have an outdated version. It's in Titles > (click a title) > import seed

Now that you mention it, I think FBI was giving me a 0xD8E3FBFD error when I tried to import seed.

The AVGN game works for me. Downloaded with freeShop and imported the seed with FBI.

Btw, I'm getting very different download speeds on my N3DS with freeShop and CIAngel:
- freeShop: 600 kb/s
- CIAngel 1100 kb/s

Holy crap, you get 1100kB/s with CIAngel? I gotta get a N3DS one of these days...

Yes, I do. Always I was surprised to see such difference.

Heh, a bit unrelated but that amiibo app is a bit interesting. It boots you into some sort of debug menu, and pressing B leads you to an amiibo screen. There's a ? block on the top screen, and when you tap an amiibo to the screen, Mario punches the block and then a colored coin themed off a Mario character randomly appears. You can't use the same amiibo multiple times, though.

How did you get it to work? It's stuck on the 3DS logo here.

I did a bunch of testing with CIAngel, and found a 256kB buffer got the best speeds

Oh nice, my speed went from ~450 to over 700. Thought I had already benchmarked it, odd. Maybe I'm thinking about sockets and not httpc.

Based on my testing with CIAngel's download mode, keeping the CIA (Which is never created in install mode, and I'm assuming FreeShop never creates) would slow your download/install speed to ~1/3 of what it is for just install mode.

The CIA file itself doesn't contain the seed, they have to be retrieved externally.
