Is it the part with the tiny little white bar you have to tap to the right?
Strangely, no. When I scan the QR code it gives me a yellow screen and then after that it takes me to a black screen telling me to turn off my 3DS.

The bar is for SLIDERHAX, on OLD 3DS.
He is on NEW 3DS :|
dummy
I didn't realize that was only for O3DS. Well that's a relief. I hated that slider with a passion. XD

Could be some bad files on the sd card, maybbe redownload and try again with fresh files.
Well, I did put an updated boot.3dsx on my SD card today, replacing the old one that's on there. So far I have the 3ds folder and updates on the root of my SD card, along with the boot.3dsx file.

So in the guide it says copy starter kit to sd card, then set the system clock to January 1, 2000 at 00:00 (12 AM)
Go to web browser, reset settings.... then scan qr code. did you remember that part as well?

Yep, did all of that. I can now use the browser with no problem. I did delete some files off of my SD card that were on the 3ds folder though. All I have is Plaisysupdater, Safesysupdater (to check to make sure the files I have are correct even though I got the USA pack from the guide), and menuhax manager.

Well perhaps try formatting the sd card, or try another one, it could work. It should be in fat/fat32 format.
I formatted my SD card yesterday since I got it from the store, and I formatted my N3DS too. I think I'm going to try and download the payloads manually and see if that works.

So when does the issue take place? after scanning the qr code?

Isn't cubic ninja the only game using qr codees?

I wonder if someone can make a AR Card to run homebrew or amiibo modification, or even a basic NFC program for android or iso to do some homebrew.

it really is amazing how loading web pages can inject data into system to allow homebrew, God bless loadiine.ovh :yay:

Nope!

It just doesn't work like that. You need to find how can you cause a buffer overflow, then do some ROP (or something). (AFAIK)

Also, gotta sell my CN real quick!

Pushmo, Pullblox, Freakyforms, Pyramids, Animal Crossing, Pocket Card Jockey.

Might have missed some.

Oh, i wouldn't know, i don't have those games, I dunno what the qr scanners for with them anyway. Only use for the qr scanner i have seen was for website urls and eshop game purchase. Though is funny how the AR Card function goes un used by nintendo, specially since it comes with every new system you buy and the mass produced colletion for kid icarus uprising game

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
