Not exactly, theres always a possibility of a brick, tho ive done close to ten now with now bricks, its still possible.

It MAY be possible IF you skip steps.
But its also possible to throw my 3DS across the room and brick it that way.
Dont do either of these things. Read the guide, follow ALL the instructions, and all will be right with the world.

I dont think you can even flash the wrong NANDs anymore.
Though, I cant remember what all safety precautions have been put into place since the guide was created.

Im assuming you mean in emuNAND... why not just update emuNAND to 11.0.0, and eliminate the nag?
Dont update sysNAND and youll lose nothing. The guide suggests updating emu to latest firmware.. So I too would suggest doing so.
Though Ive heard it is safe/possible to do with 10.7 emunand, which I assume would produce the nag since it isnt latest FW.

It's 10.7 on O3DS XL. To be clear I don't have the nag yet but I want to snag a bunch of pokemon via mystery gift(including 3 Legendary Birds with special ability). I don't want to install a9lh at the moment as I understand I'd need to invest the proper time to get it right.

It's 10.7 on O3DS XL.

If you are between versions 9.0.0 and 9.8.0, you should follow this guide, but you can skip changing the date and time in the beginning.

If you are between versions 9.9.0 and 10.5.0, you should follow this guide as written.

If you are between versions 10.6.0 and 11.0.0, or have a browser version (the last number in the version, such as 11.0.0-33) of less than -20, you must use the following instructions for various alternate entrypoints in place of Part 1

• Ninjhax (requires Cubic Ninja) (temporarily broken on 11.0.0 FIRM; wait for an update; this does not apply to hardmod downgrade users)
• smashbroshax (requires Super Smash Bros. and only works on New 3DS)
• oot3dhax (requires Ocarina of Time 3D and either a powersaves or another 3DS which has the HomeBrew Launcher) (temporarily broken on 11.0.0 FIRM; wait for an update; this does not apply to hardmod downgrade users)
• supermysterychunkhax (requires Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon and another 3DS which has the HomeBrew Launcher)

If you are on version 11.0.0, you MUST have used a hardmod downgrade to successfully complete Part 2 later.

From the guide. IIRC though, there was a way to downgrade 10.7 to 9.2.
Though im not sure if it still works, due to update nags.

From what Im reading, at this point in time, 10.6/10.7 can only be used if you have OOThax or Ninjhax available to you. I guess (v*) hax could work as well.
But youll need one of these secondary entry methods to run through the guide from 10.7.

Just noticed you said you havent gotten the nag yet.
Browserhax may still not work for 10.7...I dont think it ever did. Unless a bypass can help.

I'm very certain there is a region-free tool launched via homebrew. And its also possible to install cia files (games) and have access to all the features (eshop) with an updated emuNAND. So to answer your question, no you don't need A9LH to do all that.

No. A Custom Firmware (CFW) is basically a patched version of the official firmware that runs on the console. It can run on EmuNAND, but can also run on SysNAND when installing A9LH.

nope. CFW runs emuNAND. Think on emuNAND as a backup to your sysNAND, where you store your games and settings.

Ok So I just wanted to use Hombrew Launcher so I can get the Region Free. I was searching and NinjHAX doesnt work in this version and FreakyHAX is not working in JPN game/3DS plus not counting that in Japan FrakyForm didnt got a retail release which mean only CIA. So how I can get the Homebrew Launcher running on this N3DS. I only care about homebrew launcher & region free now.

So, you updated it from 9.9 to 11.0?

If yes, that wasn't necessarily a good idea. Apart from freakyhax, there's no straightforward primary entry point for 11.0 for now. Since you're lucky enough to have a New 3DS and a Sky3DS+, you can still use smashbroshax if you follow this very nice tutorial.
