Does uploading replays to YouTube with Sound/Texture mods get you banned or your system bricked or is it totally fine?
If you upload the video to miiverse as well, you might get banned from miiverse. But you can upload just the video without posting to miiverse and be fine.
 
Can anyone help me with .DDS stuff? I followed this tutorial:

And the image saves, the injector, well, injects, but when the game is going to run the mod, it just crashes with a beep. Which means my file is corrupted, of course.
This is the texture, already edited:

It goes on data/stage/melee/XStadium/model/stc_Koori_gr_set's model.nut, which is PS2's Ice-Type transformation.

And these are the settings I've used to save this texture:

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. And I'm using the injector pack from the OP of this thread. Any help is appreciated.

Hello again, I'm here fighting against the chr_13 files to do some custom css for my mods. I followed the tutorials, saved them on dxt 5, but it only makes my U freeze when I enter the character select screen. Does somebody know how to make it work?

I had the same problem for a while but if fix if you save the dds file without midmap option. the file size should remain the same if you do so. The game should work if you do that

You actually NEED to generate mipmaps to the exact same number the original .dds file has, or else it won't work.
 
Can somebody perhaps convert this? I wanted to give Mario his detailed overralls back but am having problems, Let alone I don't want to waste money on Photoshop.

Should work on Luigi as well as they both share a similar color map.

Easy inject isn't working either and it's not creating a temp file.

Hey, I'm using sm4shcommand to try and edit Luigis up special to have more height, from what I read there should be a command that says "add/set_momentum" I can't see it, what event controls the height of his upB

(it would also be helpful if someone could direct me to a list of events and what they do for each character)
 
Oh great, The IDSP compiler thing isn't working for me anymore and it's turning my BRSTM's into Gamecube DSPs of all things. >_<

How do you even install stage mods?
I want to add PS2, it tells me I have to replace it with the omega version, but the thing is, I don't even know what the omega version is and where It's located in Smash Explorer, anyone know?
 
Google a program called FreeCommander XE
It has the ability to batch rename files, which would be incredibly useful for what you are doing. I'm using it for my project to add model swaps as an alt for every character. You could get every CSP, stock icon, and BPs renamed in about two minutes.
Care to provide a download link to this once you're finished? I have a friend who would be interested in this sort of thing.
 
Here's a question:

Would it be possible to make certain SFX only play with certain outfits? Like, say, have Melee hit effects only play for Melee Fox alts?
