Thanks. But when I converted it to PNG (Since its the only way I can view it without error) it gave my the character portraits.I was looking through the chr files and found that they're located in chrn folders. Chrn_11 seems to be what you're looking for.

Well, i got 2 dds files, when they show the paint.net icon on the file, it means it wont open, so I have to convert it to PNG, but i guess the text one above was the other one, on an online converter it gave an error that it couldn't convert. The char portrait did. So that's probably why. How did you get it to work too?You don't get anything like this?

Google a program called FreeCommander XEAll I want for smash explorer is the ability tp select multiple files and extract all at once instead of having to select a whole folder and also the ability to have a shortcut to extract, I'm making a mod where all the clone and semi clone characters have alts of their clones like dr. mario will have mario alts but its taking for ever getting all the battle portraits extracted and stock icons ect ect.

It has the ability to batch rename files, which would be incredibly useful for what you are doing. I'm using it for my project to add model swaps as an alt for every character. You could get every CSP, stock icon, and BPs renamed in about two minutes.
The bones don't match up, so they aren't going to work properly until model importing is a functional thing.Anybody has managed to put assist trophy characters over the normal ones? I have tried changing the .nud and .nut files, but the model breaks.

Update: I tried a character skin and it get's stuck on loading the CSS. Seems like any mod I install breaks the game. Help Please.I do this, take the packed file, put it in D:\0005000010144F00\patch\data\ui\result (I'm using TS4M's modpack so I have most of the directories already) Whenever I boot the game and complete a match, the game get's stuck on the slow-mo section and never loads the results, anything I'm doing wrong?

So, you extract it as normal and get the unviewable DDS, then what do you do from there? Do you convert it to PNG? Do you save it with the alternate format then convert it?
