No. The NTR.bin goes into your SD Card. You install the NTR.cia to your sysnand using FBI//DevMenu.

It's safe to update. I still recommend you make nand backup of 10.7 in case of anything. The update doesn't break A9LH.
Thanks for the headsup. Now that i installed the cia, can I delete it or does it need to stay. And how do I uninstall cia?

Using OTPHelper to downgrade RedNAND to 2.1.0. It performed it file check and everything proceeded to go well. It then begun to install the CIAs to my RedNAND. Suddenly, it stopped and prompted, "An error has occurred." screen.

Is this a normal thing for it to show when downgrading the RedNAND to 2.1.0?
I'm on Part 4, Section 2, Step 11.

Hello , my friend asked me to do the downgrade of his 3DS .

However , I found that he updated the 3DS to 11.0.0-33 version.

It is still possible to downgrade using OotHax ? Or it does not work anymore ?

The downgrade is "fixed" for now, but as the past has shown, another opportunity will probably present itself eventually.

noob question - how does one update the payload for the homebrew launcher .cia? (emunand 11.0)
the payload file shoul have the firmware version at the end just change that to the new firmware your on. and its not the cia file you want to edit its the .bin file hblauncherloader_otherapp_payload_OLD-11-0-0-33-EUR to be exact from hblauncherloader_otherapp_payload_OLD-19-0-7-32-EUR

noob question: I have a N3DS and I just got a DSTwo+. If all I want to play is SNES/GBA games, is there any possibility of bricking my 3DS?

There should be a 0% chance of bricking your 3DS by using emulators, especially if you're using a DSTWO to emulate them.

I have been doing a lot of research for getting my first flashcard. I am looking at cards that work with N3DSXL. I mainly want to play DS and GBA games. From what I have seen the best cards are DSCARD Two + and Skycard.

If you want to play 3DS games, CFW is much better than any flashcart. You can install games, emulators, etc... for free. For DS games, you'll need some sort of DS flashcart, but nearly any DS flashcart will work alongside CFW if you don't want to spend extra money to get a DSTWO.

Sorry, don't want to sound stupid, but what is CFW?

Custom Firmware, it disables the 3DS's signature checks (among other things), allowing you to install games and homebrew.

There's a guide for setting up CFW and Arm9loaderhax (currently the best 3DS exploit) here.

Yes once installed you can delete the CIA file. You uninstall it like any other game installed on the system
