If powersaves works by dumping and restoring only encrypted images, then yes that'd be the case. However, doesn't it support cheating for games like Sm4sh and similar? Because that would imply being able to decrypt newer games, including SMD.

It only works for SOME versions of Sm4sh

You can gen/edit pokemon with with a Powersaves iirc.

Powersaves SORTA lets you do this. You CAN NOT just plug a save into PKHeX then restore it with edits.

I don't remember the entire process tho, but I do know you can't PKHeX a Powersave backup then restore it

I found out why this kind of error occured!!!
because digital downloaded game was installed.(I have both of card and DL)
So digital downloaded PSMD was not available via homebrew apps in the biginning.
When I change into new SD and it finally worked!

Has anyone actually had a successful downgrade with supermysterychunkhax on a N3DS on 10.7? I must have tried 100 times and it is literally having none of it, all i get is Hax Init (with plailect, and black screen with other 10.7 sysupdater) and thats it every single time!

Seems like memchunkhax2.1 won't work. Any solution to this?

Exactly this, I have tried everything in my power to make it work, but it doesn't
get past HAX INIT. While on my 3DS (already hacked) it loads up fine, which is weird

I'm not sure how an entrypoint could effect a kernel exploit working or not tbh, once I hand over to *hax it closes SMD and launches another app. SMD does have a large .text though so I suppose it could have an effect on gspwn, but I'm doubtful. I'd take it up with whoever does memchunkhax2.1 or w/e.

I have now updated boot.3dsx to the latest available level (at this time) from 22.3.2016. And I have updated the payload for Cubic Ninja to 10.7.0.32E and did the same with my Ocarina cartdridge.
I have a N3DSXL EU with 10.7.
And regardless of what entrypoint I am using Ninjhax or OoThax to start homebrew the salt_sploit_installer doesn't work.
I have now tried more than 10 times. It never worked.
I have a PMSD digital version and not the cart. Maybe that is the reason why it is not working?
Has anybody successfully installed this exploit on a digital version of PMSD?

where others have the same problem like me with a new 3DS. (See comments from user DubbyRubby).

So, I am certainly not the only one where it is not working.

There must be something which is different on your and my system.
My new 3DSXL EU 10.7 is totally plain. There is nothing special installed.
I can successfully run Homebrew using Ninjhax and OoThax. But both require for me a cartridge. And since I own the digital version of PMSD I thought using this new exploit would make it a little bit easier for me to run Homebrew because I no longer have to change the cart to run it.

I'm also having trouble with this exploit. I'm using a N3DS on 10.7E, with Smashax, however whenever I use the exploit through the homebrew it seems to get to that red screen. I can't get out of it, and I've tried to use it about 10 times :/

Is there any hope?

Seems like N3DSXL EUR devices seem to be affected thus resulting in memchunkhax2.1 not working, which is weird. This situation is the same for V*hax

Well we don't know what's causing this, at all. Only he (The creater ofc) will know, but since he is American he does not have a European console.

Blegh... Welp... I sure wish I could do this hacking stuff... Love programming, but this is just a little bit too high skilled for me. Otherwise I would look into it myself ya know...
I am just going to keep trying to downgrade my system, I will report if I have any success. Anybody got any advise for what other updaters I can use other than Plai?

I actually have a EUR N3DS, just region swapped to USA, however there really is absolutely no reason for memchunkhax2.1 to not work. I do the *hax loading process basically the same as any other exploit. Once again, I'd take it up whoever maintains memchunkhax2.1, it's clearly an error in their software and there's nothing I would be able to change on my end I'm fairly certain.
