Wouldn't it not download if he didn't type it in correctly though? Or does it through the error only at the end?
Maybe you could do some sort of check against wings.json to make sure it's correctly typed in?

Typed keys are mostly meant for things not in wings.json at the moment, though with how the search works, it ends up being needed even for some stuff included in it. However we don't want it limited to just things contained in wings.json.

If you're having trouble finding something using the search feature though (And you know it's on that nfshost site), I'd recommend copying the titleid/titlekey into input.txt and using that method, instead of trying to manually type it on the keyboard. You can use an FTP server to transfer input.txt if you don't want to take your SD card out.

Joking aside use Shameless or TIKdevil to get a tik file

Then either use FBI to download/install from that tik, or install the tik itself and go to the eShop

Joking aside use Shameless or TIKdevil to get a tik file

TikDevil won't give you a .tik file, or the option of what tickets to install, it's a shotgun approach of installing EVERY ticket from that nfshost site on your 3ds.
I believe Shameless allows searching and generating a QR code you can scan with FBI to install specific tickets, it's a Windows application.

I myself would use TIKdevil (It will install missing tickets, any and all [that should be a slogan ]), then download Sm4sh from the eShop, but that's partly b/c i only recently got FBI 2.x, so I'm not very familiar with it XD

The .3dsx version doesn't have kernel access, if you want to install titles directly using CIAngel you'll have to use FBI to install the CIA version of the app.

If you just want to download CIA's, and install them manually, you can use something like FBI to install the generated CIA files. They can be found in the /CIAngel/ folder after you have finished downloading them.

what's your setup? EDIT; yeah, .cia for kernam
and for direct installing, toggle install mode

Not any, just ones that have been shared (Persona Q is a good example of one that hasnt been shared) EDIT; they're not counterparts, just comically named apps (The Holy Magikarp and the Demonic Gyrados XD)
