So, I am planning to buy a Sky3DS, and out of curiosity, I searched Sky3DS on it, and apparently, somebody is selling one on Amazon. I was confused, due to the fact that the Sky3DS is somewhat illegal in the States. So, should I buy it from here, or should I buy it from a United States-based reseller, and if I should, where should I buy it from

Occasionally stuff like this slips by unnoticed, this is actually how i bought my DSTwo cart some time back (and in my case, it actually WAS a US based seller no less - I paid with an amazon giftcard on a throwaway amazon account).

ModChipsDirect is about the only seller still based in the US (I bought an r4i gold there). They have sky3ds+ for $80, I think.

I bought one Sky3DS+ from them and they sent me an already unboxed one without the box, the flashcart itself seems to be heavy used. I guess they sold second hand flashcard as new. Don't know if I should return to them or not?

Can I ask why you'd want to get a Sky3DS? A new copy of Ocarina of Time is available for $20 in the states, and a Powersaves Pro is another $15. You don't even need the Powersaves Pro if you/a sibling/a friend have a 3DS at 10.5 or lower!

You can send it back if you want, but as far as I know they always send flash carts without the original packaging. If you think it's beat up I'd send it back but I got my r4i gold from them looking new, just no packaging.

Thanks for the info. I thought I was the only one received a product without the original packaging. Just had some problems using the card with the New 3DS XL so I thought it's fake or clone.

?? I already have a Powersaves Pro, and who even brought up Ocarina of Time?! I'm only getting a Sky3DS+ because I want to start to save up money on the NX and Wii U games.

You're trying to save money? OoT+Powersaves are actually cheaper than a Sky3DS. They're even better than Sky3DS because they serve as a more permanent solution for homebrew (warez too, if you want?) on your 3DS.

You know, I'm not mainly using this for homebrew, i'm just using it to get games.

But, does anyone know if it would be safe to buy from this seller on EBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/222079821044

Yeah, you can do that with OoT+Powersaves! It's $30 cheaper, and you don't have to worry about an update patching your exploit, either!
