Homebrew [WIP]PCHex++ - PCHex with its own gui

Hello everyone, this is a tool i made to download a smogon dex folder for use with PCHex++.

Extract the zip file to the3ds folder allowing it to merge with it, or drag the PK6Downloader zip

1. go into the HB Menu
2. find my application

you then click it and wait for 2-5 mins and then power off your system

then launch PCHex++ and go to the import function which you'll see a folder called db. open it and you'll find all the smogon sets in PK6 form. Enjoy!

PS: if its requested enough ill make one for pokemon events

Edit: special thanks to Ghost37486 and imanoob from #3dshacks for pointing out bugs and editing the code for it to be able to extract to the import folder without the app being there

3. then scroll down and go to /pk/PCHex++/import/ and you'll find my application

then launch PCHex++ and go to the import function which you'll see a folder called db. open it and you'll find all the smogon sets in PK6 form. Enjoy!

No, the clone will be an exact 1:1 copy

Eek... I don't know off the top of my head, but I have recently updated it, and it is a recent new purchase. So... the latest???

I have no idea what I have as for entry point -.- on a Homebrew site, it says I could use OoT to get in, which I do have digitally. But I don't know how to gain entry, sorry.

This is a 3ds homebrew and can be installed or launched like every other 3ds homebrew. If your 3ds is not homebrew-enabled you should start with "hacking" it. Hacking your 3ds will let you use every homebrew (and will allow piracy, if you are into that)

Hacking your 3ds is a task of varying difficulty depending on which firmware you are on. If you are on 10.7 (the latest firmware) the best guide available is the one written by plailect (search "plailect a9lh" on google) it will guide you through the whole process of hacking your 3ds and then you will be able to use every homebrew on this forum (and play "backup of your games)

Here is the bad news: 10.7 firmware added some anti-hacking features, as of now to follow the plailect's guide you need a copy of the game cubic ninja or a powersave or a friend with an already hacked 3ds

Thanks Slashcash - the guide says nothing about 10.7 patching - it says between .6 and .7 to use ninjhax (using Cubic Ninja). I assume this is what you meant. In the same sentence, it says I can use OoT as well - I have that game already; can I use OoT?

You need a hacked 3DS or a powersave to inject homebrew into OoT3D. You can't inject homebrew if you have the digital version of OoT3D unless your 3DS is already hacked

Unfortunately since 10.7 a lot of hax have been patched, aside from ninjhax which requires cubic ninja and oothax which requires oot and a powersave or a friend, so without them you are pretty much out of luck in running homebrews. If you REALLY want homebrews and custom firmwares you could consider buying a 20 bucks powersave dongle (you can resell it after the process is done) or, if you live in a big city, there is a good chance that you can easily find someone with an already hacked 3ds that can help you installing oothax (it is a thirty second process) in this case asking on specific reddit groups can be a good idea.

Other than this: you can wait for someone to come up with a clever idea on how to find an hax which works on 10.7
