Any way you could make one for Luma3DS (the AuReiNand rename)? That would be rad man, I've been rocking this boot screen since AuRei supported dual screen boot images. I love it!

Edit: I decided to make a retro bios-styled one just for kicks and giggles. Based off the MenuHax one.

The BIOS is nice. I may consider using that instead of the bottom splash screen I currently made.

I don't think that is possible, it just loads a static image I think.

If you could provide a template for easy customization, that'd be awesome.

Won't happen, as the splash is nothing but an image. You could use a .psd template (or just that image) and edit it to show exactly your hardware and then convert to .bin
