I have a Sky3DS+ with the latest firmware and a Samsung 32GB MicroSD on an original 3DS. Most of my games run fine, but recently, I've tried Hyrule Warriors Legends and FE Fates Special Edition and although the games run okay, when I launch them again after playing, all of my save progress is missing, and the game re-initializes. I can't find anyone who has had a similar issue yet, and I've even tried the whole closing out from the home menu and switching games thing that was recommended for original non-+ Sky3DS.
Has anyone else has this issue/found a solution? Thanks!

Don't have this issue with Hyrule Warriors. (Nor with other games btw)

How did you format your µSD card? Do you use a valid header? (It should NOT matter but eh, sometimes shit happens)

Dude enough with that shit. I see you always posting it in threads. It offers no help for the actual problem the person is having and is just spam.
Using a CIA would most likely fix the problem, so it's not "just spam."

This has to be the most uninviting community I could have gone to for help. It takes one post to say, "hey, here's an alternate way to do things". No patronizing or fighting over semantics needed. That's appreciated! But also I would help within the scope that I asked.
That is not what I found here.

Tbh I don't think most know how to give actual help. I see the same crap in a lot of threads.
Maybe the copy of the game you got is some how messed up

My apologies for trying to help and not feeding into your bricking delusions/paranoia. :)
A solution has been given, however, you are not willing to try it.
Did you ever stop and think, "Maybe there's a reason people are saying I should do this?"

You do you, I guess. Even if that means wasting money on private headers when you could just install A9LH, get a CIA, and have it on your home screen instead of having to press a button multiple times just to access the game. But, then again, it's not my money or time to waste.

Ah yes I'm so scared of a brick..... maybe you should take a look at my sig and you will see both 3ds's are using a9lh. The n3ds has for over a month now. But you don't see me going around spamming the same shit in every thread. The point is IT'S NOT HELPFUL you're not helping fix the ACTUAL issue. Yes he can install a cia but the issue would still be there on the cart, get it? Not everyone wants a shit ton of cias on their home menu either. Or they just want simple shit and not to mess with downgrading or any of that. It doesn't make them wrong, its just the way they want to do it. So stop going around spamming the same master race bullshit in any thread looking for help with non a9lh issue. That type of shit is enough to turn people away from the site and finding ACTUAL help. People are allowed to be afraid of bricking or the entire process, its a lot of info, and not everyone feels comfortable doing it. I use to mod people's wiis for them because they weren't comfortable doing it and that was stupid easy. Not once did I insult them as it can be intimidating to people. Get over the master race shit and grow up. If you don't have anything that is ACTUALLY helpful to someone's issue DON'T post, it's that simple.

They're not "afraid" or "uncomfortable." They're paranoid when in reality there's almost no chance of bricking whatsoever.
The conclusion that "ill brik mah 3ds!!!11" isn't made from research, but rather lack thereof.

@OP
If this problem has occurred right from the start and thus was never able to fully save, maybe try and redownload the games. Perhaps something is wrong with the games themselves as you stated other games work fine.
If it worked before and now it doesn't anymore... Recall what exactly you did between it working and not working.

Besides that, what people have been saying is that you can use your Sky3ds to downgrade your system and set it up to play 3ds games (for free) without your sky3ds card. This can be a bit of a hassle and you need to read quite a lot, but once you've done it you don't need your sky3ds again and you have access to great stuff like homebrew. There are amazing programs you can use like emulators (playing GBA games on your 3ds for example) and programs to back up your save games. You can even mod/hack your pokemon games if that's what you're into! It may take longer than a sky3ds to set up, but it's worth it.

TL ; DR
That said, you don't have to do all that. If you're fine with your sky3ds, go ahead and use your Sky3ds. To solve your problem, get a new download of your problem games and put them on your sky3ds card. Make sure it's from the same region as your 3ds though!

only cause they arent informed on the current status of the scene doesnt make them paranoid. it makes them act according to their current abilities. the same way some people dont do a hardmod, although when you do it right, there is no chance of bricking..

@Flynnn Everything seems fine but you may have some µSD card issues. Are you sure that you use cluster size of 64kb? It is recommended by the Sky team iirc and I use that setting, and it works fine.

It could also be games related. Try to download the game again, maybe from another source.

Tell me if that does not solve your issue.

You're really, really annoying.
People can read gbatemp without any troubles. IF they don't want to do it MAYBE it's just because they don't have any interest in it. Or maybe they just don't want to take a risk even if it is only a very very small risk when they already have something that works for them and that they consider to be way enough.

I installed A9LH even if I bought a Sky3DS+ before the release of the first downgrade method and I still use it because it works well. I can wholly understand that people still use it instead of downgrading.
Just consider that there are a lot of possibilities and that's ok. To each his own. ;)

Weirdly enough, I usually find @Margen67 annoying but not this time.

Usually, it's about menuhax users being called "menuhax peasants" (but they do have a working CFW installation so ok, it's not the masterrace but they are not really lacking features) or A9LH emuNAND users being called paranoid (and in my case, yeah, I'm paranoid, why do you think I added password support to arm9loaderhay even though I don't even have any friends who could touch my 3DS systems ?) for not switching to sysNAND, which doesn't bring anything.

But here, indeed, switching to CFW (though not necessarily "A9LH masterrace" as he said but still) would help, and he gave a link.
So he did help, maybe the usual annoying way but he did help.

---

Plus, "people can read gbatemp", not so sure of that. I've seen a lot of people with less than 10 posts (which is the case of the OP here) ask about something, be answered something about common knowledge about CFWs like for example, "I have a Sky and I can't do something", "Ok, setup CFW with menuhax and you're set", and then the next question from the OP that is something like "what's a CFW", so really, obviously don't assume all people under 10 posts are dumb, but don't assume everyone can read either.

If you want examples of what I say, just use the search bar with "sky3ds", you'll find plenty of those (not that buying a Sky3DS is the stupidest thing on earth, it can help running Cubic Ninja, but buying a Sky3DS nowadays for another reason than Cubic Ninja is the stupidest thing on earth).
"And if i would downgrade and set up CFW as you suggested, which flashcard would you personally recommend?"
"I'm not sure how custom firmware works. Will CFW allow me to carry around a dozen or more games (not a dozen or more cartridges) at a time?"

did you add some games on your microsd after playing?

i also had the same issue, but only when i remove the SD card out of sky3ds+ after playing.

the thing is, you have to press any button at sky3ds+ (also known as switching games) before ejecting->pulling the sd card out of the sky3ds+.

because... well im not really sure about this, but some games were saved in SD card(inside 3ds), and you have to switch games before shutting down 3ds to copy the save from SD card(inside 3ds) into sd card in sky3ds+.

basically you have to save the save after saving.. O_O
