Only gbatemp working oO

Hi there

Right now I am at Shanghai Airport waiting 10 hours for my flight to Tokyo ...

I am trying my best to get online since 2 hours but the only page I can access is actually GBAtemp ^^V

Anyone a suggestion what I could try ?
I am using Android cyanogen 20160315 and the first time I connected to the free WiFi i could Register than I got a password send to me by SMS like 12 times and my phone allways tells me that there is no Internet and I cannot access a Login page or anything else... I only get asked if it should Reconnect when the connection is lost or not as there is no Internet anyways.

Still gbatemp Works just fine

Chinese ISPs block a lot of foreign content, so it's possible all the sites you're trying to visit are on their no-no list. Can you load local sites? Try Baidu or something.

Maybe you have a slow connection. GBAtemp is the only site I can access when I'm on my shitty mobile Internet as well.

that's blocked in china, i think you can use 'bridges' to get around that though, maybe the new ones work, like obfs4.

in china people use vpns. but still, simple vpns are blocked, you need to use ones with better encryption.

Friend of mine was in Shenzhen a few months ago, only TOR with OBFS4 works.
Or some shoddy chinese VPN.

Of me sitting in China and beeing tired and bored ? ^^

Well did not get it to work till the end and I assume it might have had something to do with the speed as suggested ... Tried to update my phone SS i thought it might be a Problem with cyanogen and only got like 10kbs even though the phone sayd "no connection to the Internet"


Now in the place i stay a small Problem as well even after updating
I get kicked out every few minutes and have to Reconnect trough the landing page.
