By the way thanks to @MassExplosion213 I now have an idea about the rare and random black screens that get reported around. As I said a couple posts ago, when you format a SD card which had an emuNAND and install a different kind of emuNAND (say Gateway -> RedNAND or vice-versa) AuReiNand will still detect that old emuNAND. This is because when you format you only rewrite sector 0 (the MBR) and then a FAT table (usually at sector 8192, with the SD formatter). This means that the NCSD header will still persist in sector 1 (RedNAND) and in the middle of the FAT filesystem (Gateway), ready to be eventually overwritten by files. I can't really do anything to fix this.
Just FULLY format the card (overwrite the whole thing).

I found on mine that deleting the pre-patched firmware resolved any booting issues that I had with this.

I thought about it and it's better to just use A as the equivalent of "nothing" and L and R as their respective functions (I'm having a war with useless button presses! XD)
I committed it to the repo, thisi s a pre-compiled build: http://www16.zippyshare.com/v/o96aFL6X/file.html
(I'm not a dude btw :P)

mm , alright Just keep it up you are doing an amazing job my dude .. !
jkjk, a female so good at this stuff.

coming up with such a unique mod, dude man ! i mean holy sheep sis, good job .

it dont matter what your gender is, you did a good job with this Aurei Stuff LOL .

keep it up as usual , your awesome.

Need some advice here guys, I deleted Menuhax so it now boots fine but it starts up with the 9.2 firmware, I have to press R to load the CFW, how do I modify the boot order so it starts the CFW first?

push arm9loaderhax bin that comes in the v3.14 zip into the root along with the Aureinand dat.
that should boot you straight into aureiemunand i would assume?

and if you have swapped nands, you would need to configure the boot thingie to the updated sysnand thingie , you know when you hold down the Select button before you turn your ds on, that menu pops up the config menu.
tick teh updated sysnand option if you have swapped nands, that should fix it.

Will give that a try, thank you

Edit: I do have the updated sysnand option ticked so I dont understand why the boot order is reversed

Aurora would it be possible to include a couple lines of code to ouput an empty file, the name of which is the version number of the release, in the 'aurei' folder so people can easily track their version?
No, people went crazy with a one-byte config file which slowed things out on very large SD cards (which apparently are very fast at reading/writing but have terrible latency), I did all I could to reduce SD accesses and you want a cosmetic file? XD

I agree, no need to add a file just to display version number

Maybe add the version number inside of the Config Menu?

What about displaying the current release version inside the Config Menu (when you press Select).
Thanks

weird, well that was the reason i removed menuhax as i also had a reverse button issue .

and i think it was cause of menuhax, i removed everything from it from my mSD including the boot config that was in the root and also the menuhax ropbin files etc.

try re-removing menuhax by launching it from HB launcher (and also after that delete the boot 3dsx of the ctr and its config file along with the menuhax created bin files that are ins the root) and see if that works.

How about showing the commit number when you press SELECT to enter the Settings menu?

Yeah, done that several times (on 9.2 with A9lh, on 10.7 with A9lh), one on my Local Harddrive, one as spare on my SD Card renamed properly to get things straight. :-)

Would be great if there was a Homebrew which lets you access your SD Card Wireless wia WiFi without have to eject it everytime from the DS to the PC :D
There is. Not *technically* homebrew, either. You know the wireless SD management tool in the N3DS system settings? @Apache Thunder bundled it up as a .cia that can be launched from the home menu (very useful for an N3ds with a downgraded MSET). The initial connection doesn't always work, but when it does work, it never seems to fail. I can't link to it though because it's on a certain ISO site. Search for "Micro SD Management App (Custom Banner - USA Only)"

Easier: FTbrony.

was a .cia made for that? I only knew of the .3dsx in the starter pack.
I think so, but a CIA isn't needed for that simple function. I keep homebrew inside HBlauncher.

That's also what I use to update ARN without taking out my N3DS mSD.

micro sd management cia is easier to access than ftpbrony.
unless it does have a cia of ftp brony.

but i never got to know how to actually use it, how do you use it?
is it simple?

the need of some extra app, or using some address to be able to use Ftpbrony would be lame.

with msd management i only have to launch the cia and then open up the Network off my laptop and thats it.

I imagine just like any other FTP server/client. Use FileZilla or the like and the IP address of your 3ds. Probably less problematic with Windows networking. I can't comment on Linux or Mac, since all of my 3DS stuff is on Windows and I haven't made a new hackintosh VM since I broke the last one. Things are much easier if you configure your router to assign a static IP to your 3ds. Then you can just save the connection in Filezilla, and click it from a dropdown menu whenever you want to make a connection.

unless using FTPbron. with Filezilla would give me 14mbps copy speeds lol

edit : How exactly is this here done >>>> "configure your router to assign a static IP to your 3ds" < mm and how do you save that connection in Filezilla? (i do have filezilla already installed, i used to use it to ftp some ps3 games into my internal ps3 hdd, file sizes over 4gigs, due to Fat32 limit).

You associate MAC address with static IP address in the DHCP menu. This is my personal choice since all my IP addresses are always "dynamically static".

That isn't really needed since FTbrony shows its IP every time you launch it. I believe you could just type that IP (and port) into your Windows Explorer bar and transfer files.
