some emulators are WAY better in .cia format, while they're near unplayable in .3dsx (gPSP comes to mind). So I'd say that it's worth it for this alone.

And if you want perfect full speed sega-megadrive, nes, Gameboy advance emulation, (on a old 3ds) you can use the inject to Virtual console option to inject your own roms (Way faster than most of the homebrew emulators)

For the last time: YES!!

I'll give you a good reason: It's future proof since you don't have to worry about nintendo patching more entry points in the future and rendering your homebrew channel useless. And you can use emunand for homebrew and update it to latest firmware.

Hate seeing these types of threads.

Its 100% worth it.
The methods have been tested by 1000s of people, and have a 99.9% success rate if you get the right firmware files.
Free games, DLC, themes, better homebrew, save editing, ect....
Theres no reason not to because emunand will allow you to be on the latest version without touching your actual system too.

And if you are brave enough, go for the ultimate a9lh method (which gives you recovery option before 3ds main OS boots, and boot directly on updated latest version sysnand with free loading and playback of backups

Hey all, a while back I hacked my 3DS with a datel powersaves and oot3dhax. I was really interested in getting gambatte on it and that's pretty much the only homebrew app I use. Now I'm contemplating downgrading with sysupdater, but I don't really see what else I'd possibly want that kernel access has to offer. I'm not interested in playing backups or romhacks. Is emulation any better on an O3DS on 9.2? Is doom any good on 3DS? What do you guys think?
Yes
