Am looking forward to SFZ but the whole "Project Guard" game they're including with Star Fox Zero's Special Edition just looks like a slightly advanced tower defence game. No, I'll just stick to my standalone pre-order of SFZ unless the First Print Edition only costs a bit more then I might consider.

I think the game's looking better now than it did when it was first announced. I might pick it up depending on whether or not the reviews agree with me.

Star Fox Guard will indeed have a physical release but keep in mind it won't contain a game disc but a download code.

I believe it's no extra cost if I remember correctly and it comes with all sfz copies unless there is a special edition? I haven't seen word on that yet

It comes with all "First Print Edition" bundles (boy, Nintendo has gotten lazy with the special edition titles). I don't see the big deal about it so I'm skipping it nor does it seem like it's much fun.

canada ebgames is giving a poster with star fox zero.
guard game is effectively free in first edition package so expect to see kijiji/ebay flooded with them for $10
I'm in canada thanks for that! Including special edition?

Nintendo handled the information on this release terribly imo

From what I can gather by having a read about

Star fox zero first print edition is the only version that has star fox guard as a physical disc

Star fox zero physical copy will have a download code for guard

Star fox zero digital copy will not include guard and you can get a digital download separately from the eshop making it a bit more expensive than the physical release (if you wanted guard too)

That's correct. There'll probably not be much demand as many fans/collectors are hoping and knowing the popular UK game retailer CeX (also avail in Portugal, Spain, America and some other countries I think) they'll likely have the retail the game for £15 or so (predict that - cash £9 / store credit - £12). Just like Bayonetta 1.

Anyhow, I surely hope that the amiibos are a one-time unlock.

Personally I can't see the first print going for anywhere near as low as that but the standard release, ya never know.
If it's a Nintendo game it seems to hold price fairly well in the second hand market for example new super mario bros wii is still about £20 in my local cex so sells for more than bayonetta 2 it seems.
Fingers crossed everyone gets a good deal I am personally quite hyped for this now looks like I will be reliving some lylat wars (hate our European name for star fox 64) memories with this game
