generally, emunand should be safe (unless they snuck in something that disables it in the long run, so its always good to keep one or two emunand backups)

No, hardmodding isn't an option, at least not a viable one for the vast majority of people.

Exploits are good, they should be for everyone regardless of the firmware. This will happen eventually, but for now, you should be happy that it is working even on the latest update.

You'll need oot3dshax, ninjhax, or smashHax. Then just run a new build of sysupdater.
