Hacking After you install a cia onto your 3ds, can you delete the cia file from your SD card?

Already answered, but you can delete it after you install it, because the 3DS takes the 'CIA' file, decompresses and installs the contents, and that's how the game is played.

Games would run horribly slow (0 fps, probably, if it even loads) if they were ran from a compressed binary and constantly accessing compressed data. A CIA is just a compressed format to store all the data that games need.

Anyone run into problems trying to delete a game installed via CIA (FBI)? 3DS data manager doesn't see a bunch of games that I've installed.

What games have you installed that it can't see? The Data Management should see everything you've installed. If you need to delete it, and the Data Management can't see it, us FBI's cia uninstaller instead.

3-4 of the picross games. I was able to find/remove the other remaining Picross titles though. FBI can find installed cia's and delete them?

Yeah, but it's a little harder because FBI only shows the title id of them so you have to know what they are. If you want to attempt it, go into FBI can click the R trigger twice I think (basically when the bottom screen changes). Then you're viewing everything that you can delete. After that just uninstall.

This may help with finding the title ids:

Thanks. But even FBI can't seem to find those Title ID's. I'm afraid that they might have the incorrect titles?? Maybe I'll try and install the CIA's again? So the ones that aren't showing up are: cave story, picross e, e3, e4, e5, 3d2

Update... I re-installed Picross e and now I have two of them on my dash... ugh. I was able to uninstall the new one through the Data Management though. I'm stumped...
