Does that really make a difference in speed? In regards to emunand, which is what I'll always use, I think chasing faster boot times (15secs) is the same as chasing puff the magic dragon.

I can boot in around 8 seconds using a "Lexar 300x Class 10 UH1 32gb" micro sd with this method, my old custom built Reinand/bootctr/payloads took close to 24s and sadly even with best efforts would fail the odd time.

This shaves a few seconds off the emuNand boot, and honestly with a hardmod available I don't need to worry about sysNand problems anymore. The only tricky part was to make sure that while my sysNand was 9.2 to install FBI or inject it into H&S since once you upgrade to 10.x decrypt9 won't inject. The odd time I need to run decrypt9 to backup or restore the sysNand I use the bootctr9 from boot and run it that way, when done, rename it and go back to a clean straight boot with AuReiNand.

Once you have it running sysNand makes things so much cleaner, and as a bonus you get back that extra 2gb that emuNand takes on your MicroSD card, letting you squeeze another game or two on there :grog:

Rei and Aurora are honestly a great team and I hope they both know their work is appreciated here

Thank you for all your hard work this is for everyone who made this possible and contributed to the scene!! Thanks so much... I've learned alot and re-learnt things that I miss doing as a hobby before getting busy with IRL (job,etc.).

I've been following the scene by reading post 1 to latest even if I'm at bed / rest room and at work.. I've managed to set up both windows and linux dev environment and can compile most of your offerings :)

Thank you! Works like a treat on my n3ds a9lh (dark-samus branch/fork).

Cheers!

P.s.
The latest release 3.7.2 made me boot from 15 s to round 11.9 secs
N3ds - Emunand 10.6 / Sysnand 9.20

So I've set up a9lh on my n3ds and it's working fine, but I can't install cia's. I get the same error as when I try to install a cia on a vanilla sysnand. Also, when trying to dump H&S with decrypt9, I get the following error:

Code:
Searching title "Health&Safety (N3DS)"...
Method 1: Search in title.db...
Method 2: Search in file system...
Failed!
Health&Safety Dump: Failed!

I have reset the title.db and import.db, but to no avail. Anyone?

Are you booting Decrypt9 from A9LH or on sysNAND?
And btw, this isn't the right place.

Thought this was also a support forum :P
And I can't boot it from sysnand, it just kicks me back to the hbl. I think a9lh wasn't detecting my firmware90.bin/ I had it in the wrong place, so that's probably the issue.
EDIT: Where should I put my firmware90.bin? :D

It is, but this is the AuReiNAND thread.
Make sure you have the firmware90.bin, and hold L+R while booting, then try going into Decrypt9.

You need the firmware90.bin.
It's there, in between Emunand 9 and Nintendo 3DS.

"Updated sysNAND" mode:
- For this, you NEED A9LH. You can toggle it by creating a "/rei/updatedsysnand" file.
- Normally sysNAND is autobooted.
- If you hold L on boot, emuNAND will be booted with the firmware90.bin on the SD card so you can use exploits (you need to create a 9.0/9.2 emuNAND for this!).
- If you hold R on boot, emuNAND will be booted with the firmware.bin on the SD card.
?
