How did you set it to boot HBL when holding SELECT? Thats exactly what I've been trying to do on my system. I didn't think you could boot HBL payloads from ctrbootmanager9

ctrbootmanager boot.cfg has a line that says something like recovery, by default is SELECT (keycode 2) if i remember correctly. thats the ctr manager coldboot key, just change it to other key: START p.ex. you need to set it to keycode "anynumber", just replace the number with the one you want from this sheet https://goo.gl/8jslbS
recovery = 2; // SELECT --> recovery = 3; // START. after that try holding the key and power on, should work, at least for me does.

EDIT: forgot about HBL, just set the menuhax installer trigger key to whatever thing except L, R, ctrmanagerkey, p.ex i have it on SELECT.

Well, there is no way to boot any 3DSX from A9LH. Too complicated to do, and really useless.

It is, just use CakesFW and Multi emuNAND tool.

Just set this all up successfully (after the pain of getting my OTP yesterday).
Boots fast into EmuNand by default and into old SysNand with Menuhax/CtrBootManager while holding L (to start Gateway mode).

Just one (minor) item left on my wishlist: Region free path for CIA's in (AU)Reinand. Currently installed the region free patcher as CIA on Emunand as a workaround but this needs to be run once after every boot into emunand. Other than that, great setup and thanks to all who made this possible.

i dont have any problems related to regions, im playing Ace attorney USA on my EUR o3ds just like normal. i converted the .3ds game with simple cia converter (which has region free patching on the cia by default)

He's talking about region free patches. Not everyone wants to convert .3ds games, too.

When I swap my nands to use the updated sysnand as my default, will future updates of the a9lh installer be distributed to install with a9lh?
I just want to ask, because the 3dsx installer will not work anymore for sysnands 10.6+ ???

If you remove the function that turns off the screen, the 3D bug will come back.

I put that because when all patched_firms had an unique, shared name, the smaller FIRMs had leftovers from the bigger ones. This could be risky for the pattern searches (as I obviously only make sure that patterns are unique in a clean FIRM file). Now that they have different names, it could be removed, if it helps those with slow cards...
