Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the 3ds' speed is equivalent to about a class 6 sd card's speed. So no matter how fast an sd card you have it doesn't really matter.

Well my games boot slow, they act slow. (for example Omega Ruby, it seems to take a while to register a new pokemon in the pokedex on capture)

do cartridges boot at the same speed for you? I have never had an issue with my class 4 SD card in my o3ds. Also, have you tried using another SD card?

Mine is Class 10, but it's impossible to record off of 3DS Camera. It says my microSD card does not sport the required write speed to record video. Emunand, so the nand is probably slowing it down, but it doesn't help anything. My card is legit.
ACTUALLY, my Class 4 card booted from coldboot to menuhax splash in about 4 seconds.
My Class 10 booted Menuhax splash in about 7 with the same sysnand.
(either way, a9lh master race ftw)

What do you want? That the Card will be magically fast?

The 3ds is not optimized for fast sd cards. The difference between a class4 and a class10 sd card is marginally small in terms of loading times on a 3ds.
If you install something with devmenu/bbm you'll get 1MB/s maximum even when the card supports over 90MB/s read/write.
I think it's not the sdio controller which bottlenecks, it's the cpu of the 3ds. Everything you have stored on the 3ds besides pictures is encrypted. It takes many CPU times to decrypt/encrypt content and the cpu of the 3ds is very slow.
So there is nothing you can do about it.

About the 64kb cluster: I can't say if it works or not but theoretically it can improve performance when reading big files. But when you keep the cpu thing in mind, this improvement will be nulled.

Also keep in mind that the sdio controller of the 3ds has problems with cards >32GB. The booting time increases very much up to 40secs when using a 128gb card. Also you can't install things when the free space is above 90gb.

I have no reason to suspect its fake. I ran that program (idk the name) to check the card, and it seemed to have no issues. All im asking is if the loading times i have are normal, and if upgrading RX 2.6 to 3 or nighty is worth it
