but i have already installed a9lh, if i flash the emunand on 10.6 it will be erased?

If you use full nand backup a9lh will be erased, if you manualy dump all partitions for emunand and sysnand, and restore only the partitions(excluding the firm partitions) a9lh will stay installed, but there is also a tutorial for this(name was something with: swapping sys and emunand).

i saw that tutorial, couldn't i just downgrade emunand, backup sysnand and emunand, flash the other way around, and reinstall a9lh?

It would be much harder, you could do all the partition swapping, without leaving decrypt9. Simply go to the sysnand and emunand option and backup all partitions, and restore all partitions(you will be able to select sys and emunand backups, you could restore all emunand partitions exept firm to sysnand and all sysnand partitions to the emunand). Its very easy and the fastes way, simply try it out

alright so I have a question, I compiled and installed a9lh from here and on every startup for a split second the screen turns on, is that somehow preventable? its not really bad but still a little irritating.

Did you just recently compile A9LH? The latest version of A9LH has screen init, which is why that happens.

well yea like an hour ago, it would be nice if it only turns on if I actually need it, and on that note is there something like ctrbootmanager for a9lh too? That would be ideal, just when a button is held down screen turns on and I can select some other bin file to load.

thanks, seems like that would still do that quick screen flash looking at the code, I guess there is no clean method yet. Guess for now I'll just accept it.
edit: just installed the older version of a9lh and use aureinand and now it works just like I wanted, cool stuff.

Restore a sysNAND backup from before you installed A9LH.

1. so it means arm9loaderhax resides on the NAND also am i right?
2. as long as i have way to restore nand i can go back to stock 9.2 even im on a9lh sysnand 10.6? im i right?

Dark Samus & Co. apparently have a way to boot without the SD card in and are laying the ground work in his repo. Also I think there was a new bootCTR9 build.

I successfully got my OTP and compiled the a9lh.3dsx. The problem is, MenuHax is still present.


When I power on the o3DS without pressing any buttons, it doesn't do anything; an endless black screen.
If I press "L", it will normally boot but will load CtrBootManager(as I had set MenuHax to auto-load the boot.3dsx so I can coldboot emuNAND).
If I press "L+B", it will load sysNAND(because I had set sysNAND to be loaded with the "B" button)


This is what files exist in my SDcard:

Do I have to uninstall MenuHax completely as well as delete all the not-used-anymore-because-I-have-a9lh files on the root of the SDcard? I just want to get a proper A9lH experience(for example press L=load emuNAND, press R=load sysNAND etc etc; or even better auto-load emuNAND without pressing any buttons)
