Hacking [9.2] Booting Gateway through menuhax, getting red screen.

I've got Gateway 3dsx in the homebrew launcher.
When I launch the gateway application, I get a red screen for about half a second then nothing. It's just black.

However when I launch Gateway with the Spider exploit, it works fine! (I know it isn't a problem with the SD card.

I am on old3DS 9.2E. I am using the latest Gateway firmware (3.7.1). No other kernel exploits through the homebrew launcher work as well.

However userland homebrew applications work fine in the homebrew launcher...

Can someone please help?

No, I've been on 9.2 since forever.

The menuhax method had worked fine before, only now has there been problems.

It's interesting then... I thought it could be a problem with a newer payload/hblauncher, but it works fine on me (same situation basically, just older menuhax /no themes/, and boots to ctrBootManager). Have you tried booting directly to Gateway, without HBL, replacing boot.3dsx on the root of your SD card?

Booting direct? I'm getting a black screen with Gateway.

Userspace 3dsx files like Yeti3DS work fine direct, though.

Also tested RxTools and AuReiNand directly booted too. Both do not work...

It's odd because I'm sure there is a launcher.dat on the SD card...

That's why I'm able to use the Spider entrypoint to launch Gateway...

Your emunand may be corrupted.

Back up this one, revert to an older one.

what I just said doesn't make sense, since you're able to boot into GW through spider.

try using lesshax

Using Lesshax, here are my results.
Gateway booting freezes.
RXTools with Pasta CFW freezes.
AuReiNand removes half the screen then freezes.
Cakes CFW says "Error: Can't find Arm9 payload." I can go back to the boot screen again but the screen is now flickering.
Pasta CFW loads up it's logo but then freezes.

Should I delete everything except emuNAND on my SD card and try and install these stuff again?

No, I've been on 9.2 since forever.

EDIT: I got it working!

I had to reinstall everything after I erased all the haxes from my SD card, leaving just my saves and emuNAND.

Gateway launcher works now. Using lessHax to boot everything (rxtools, reinand), it's so nifty!
