Last time I checked, you can't use Fbi as a .3dsx on a firmware higher than 9.2.

What are you trying to install exactly, because things like DLCs, or game updates don't show up obviously?

The requirements are the same as always, basically any firmware capable of running unsigned code, whether it be through Ninjhax on 4.x-9.2, Gateway emuNAND, etc. And yes you should be able to install clean CIA files, even on sysNAND if you run it from there.

On another note, I've put up a download link for Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X builds of sockfile.

Installed a CIA but can't locate it from home screen, if i launch it from FBI it plays fine. Any ideas to what can be happening?

I have a question about sockfile.jar in Linux, Ubuntu 14.04 LTS.
When I try to open it, it just simply doesn't open. No error, nothing.

How does it work and how can I open it?

My buddy just downgraded a 10.3 N3DS to 9.2 which went all fine.
We ran downgrade checker and saw this output here (which is expected!):

We want it to be a clean 9.2 FW w/o any mismatched title versions.
I read that you can delete those 5 titles and install the mismatched 4 titles from the O3DS 9.2 FW pack.

Now the question is, how do we do that? My plan is to do the following:

Browserhax -> HBL -> CakesFW (firmlaunches 10.2 NATIVE_FIRM + emuNAND disabled (to boot into sysNAND) + sig checks disabled) -> boot into sysNAND -> Browserhax -> Start FBI.3dsx -> do our thing

Does this plan make sense? Can we do that ? We don't want to inject it into H&S, because we try to get a clean 9.2 sysNAND dump w/o anything in the tickets.db etc. (FBI.cia fake ticket).

I asked on the noob paradise thread and some one said that fbi doesnt work on higher firmwares. Im on 9.2 and wanted to go to 10.6 Is there any credibility to this?
