Hardware new 3ds nand pin out question

so i made the hard mod with ease, tried to back up my nand, but my 3ds is stuck in the bootrom error even after removing the hard mod. does anyone know what causes this? the error is in the picture attached.

Try to clean the contacted points and check if there's a short somewhere. If you couldn't find out any problem so the nand could be burnt. Finger crosses.

im pretty sure i screwed something up since one of the gold contacts came off and i didnt realize it until just now looking at the board :/ guess ill just buy a replacement board

Even after cleaning your solder points you still get the blue screen? Try it once more, before buying a new board. We where just talking about being extra careful with the innards yesterday

yeah i know. this is a different 3ds than what i was talking about in the other thread. ill check it again in a little bit. im not too upset about it since i was using this one for several tests and then off come the gold contact pin. can that even cause the 3ds to stay booting into that screen? or am i just not seeing a piece of solder thats stuck on something?

i will edit this post with the pic tomorrow. but the gold pads for dat1 and clk on the front and back are both missing. not even sure how the got taken off since i was using a desoldering wick with a temp controlled soldering iron

well , the cmd point isn(t needed , but you need to solder the dat1 correctly(the missing track) to the bank resistor near the nand(when you post your pic i(ll give you directions on how to do it , that(s if you are good at soldering)

i have attached the images here. the clk on the side facing away from the screen is missing as well. is that whats causing the problem? i didnt even notice that until now

the missing clock pad in the back isn't a problem
the problem may come from cmd or dat0 , sorry but pic is reallu blurry that i can't tell if the wires are cut or not
by the way , why did you solder to all the data points? just cmd clock dat0 ang gnd are enaugh

the guide i followed said to solder to all of them. guess i used a old guide

Nice catch on that. I didn't see it for a second, even with the arrow.

i noticed that as well while cleaning out the other parts. thanks for pointing that out though. im not even sure how it got all over the board

well hopefully this is what preventing your nds from booting
if not the worse could be you ripped the via point of the clk , which will be hard to fix , since you will have to solder in a slim point near the cpu(you have to remove the meatl covering the cpu); but let's hope you won't arrive to that point

looks like im gonna need to do that :/ last resort is to try to find a new mobo. even though ebay only has the xl versions. this is a jap imported system that i had gotten the week after it launched

looks like the dat1 trace is torn slightly too, probably when the pad got lifted, you may need to repair the trace on that
