Homebrew Soo. What do I do?

Maybe I'm missing something here, does browserhax not work on 9.9, or have you already hit up the browser using 9.9? If you HAVEN'T hit the browser, you can do the dns trick and get browserhax up and kicking I think...and from browserhax, install menuhax, then go through the downgrade process.

Edit: nevermind, I read a little further into the thread and it seems your browser's already blocked. cartridge based exploits are about your only solution at this point.

This is why i still have my cubic ninja :P. I hink you should wait until you can downgrade your console. You will have a ton more fun with it than it being on the boring official 10.5 firmware.
If you do find a OoT in a store, you can always ask about the return policy and return it once you are done. (I myself would keep it though just in case you or a friend need it again)

OOt is always a good fallback in case for some reason you ever need to use it...that being said you also need access to some way to set up the exploit as well...I.e. A powersave device or another exploited console). With cubic ninja, you don't.

Should I just update to the latest firmware or stay in 9.9.0-26U? I have a old 3ds and I have no idea if I can downgrade it or not, because there doesn't seem to be any possible way to do so, so, could anyone help?

Also I have a ton of friends with a 3DS, but no, all of them have a legit 3DS with almost no changes done to it whatsoever, with the exception of a flashcard of course.
buy a sky3ds
use it to load a cubic ninja.3ds (homebrew channel)
then sell it to said flashcard using friends

Or send it off to someone and pay them to do it...
You think it's easy to find someone who even remotely knows what Cubic Ninja is on Chile?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Also seems like the only way I can get cubic ninja is to get it directly from US and getting it send overseas towards Chile which might cost... 79 USD, really not that cheap if you think about it...

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Only option I have is to get OoT 3D and that powersaves thingy

There is a few people in Brazil that offer the service.

Are those the only exploits that use games? Like are there other exploits where you can use a different game to access the Homebrew Loader? I'm still confused about this. So one of your friends have a flash cart?
If it's a Sky, ask him if he (or you) can put Cubic Ninja on it and let you borrow it, then downgrade and give it back.

if they dont have a sky3ds, then buy one, use it and then sell it to your friend . . . win win

How do you know his friends are interested in a Sky? :P
Btw @josh87402 there is a Chilean Sky reseller if it should come to that.
I just can't stress enough, DO NOT UPDATE. It took a year for us on >9.2 to be able to finally use CFW and damn it was worth the wait.

True, I thought I'd be stuck on 10.3 forever, lol.

he said his frends use flashcards on there 3ds systems and dont have cubic ninja (or hbc) the assumption gained from this is they only have ds mode flashcards . . . "and who dont like an upgrade?"

Exactly, they all have these Chinese r4 flash card clones, guess I'd have to buy a sky3ds, it's really expensive but surely it's worth every penny, or maybe I could just wait until someone does something for 9.9! Instead of paying for games I'll probably won't ever play ever again

That's strange, i've yet to get the browser nag when i downgraded my n3ds from 9.8 to 9.2,

Same. Not sure what it is that causes it. I think it's if you updated to a certain firmware from a game prompt that includes a dummy browser or something.

you can try this way to bypass the nag. Maybe format your system, add the homebrew starter kit, turn off wifi, bookmark the exploit website, turn on wifi, and then quickly enter the browser.
