Okay so I'm kind of new to the whole flashcard scene. I always saw flashcards as a little unreliable, so i tended to stray away from them.
So I'm looking for a flashcard that will work on my New 3DS XL
I have sysnand running 9.2 and emunand running 10.5.
I have looked all over the forum for a definitive answer and can't really find anything. Unless I'm just dumb and not looking hard enough.
I'm also not sure what a reliable site is for one of them

What I need it to do:
-I'd hope it isn't too expensive
-I don't really care if it can emulate 3ds roms seeing as I already have the latest emunand
-main thing i need is for it to run DS games smoothly and fluently on the New 3ds

Here are two that I've been looking at:
Sorry if I can't post these here, first time poster here;;;
'Just like some answers, fam ;)

http://www.nds-card.com/ProShow.asp?ProID=146

and

http://www.nds-card.com/ProShow.asp?ProID=149

(( I picked the site with the cute pandas, also 'cause of cheap shipping))

Those are the two that i found that were pretty cheap and seems that everyone uses.

I'd like to thank in advance anyone that is willing to just help me before just flat out yelling at me for doing something wrong. If this thread needs to be moved to a different place, so be it, I'd just like some quick help, thanks ;)

r4ids.cn R4i Gold is better no doubt, they have official Wood R4 (the other carts are using unofficial unsupported versions of Wood R4), RTS and good support. Not that support matters that much these days since Nintendo stopped blocking DS flashcarts a while ago and there are no new DS games coming out. But for only $3 difference it's a no brainer.

first off either of those cards will work for what you want
a dstwo is a better investment supporting in game cheats in ds roms among other things like a functional gba emulator and a fully functional snes emulator

and second that site is a gbatemp sponsor so . . . excellent choice (honestly . . . you can find them cheaper elsewhere)

you aren't able to post those "elsewhere's", correct?
and i was mainly choosing these 2 because of their RTS feature, it seems like it would be really helpful.

Disregard my complete lack of intelligence on the subject but what exactly is Wood R4?
The kernel most of these carts use, it was originally a replacement kernel for R4 and AK2/AKRPG and was a gamechanger because of the feature set, frequent updates and turning a cheap flashcart into a much more capable one. Nowadays it's used by many of the R4 clones on the market.
I'm not sure if the red R4i-SDHC uses Wood R4 or not, doesn't really matter, just go with the R4i Gold :)

I think I'll leave the thread open a little longer to see if anyone else wants to come in and give their opinion, but I feel as if we have a winner here ;))

You're allowed to post them, I just don't know what site is the cheapest/most reliable nowadays, eachmall had the R4i Gold for $9 but they've shut down, zhuzhuchina had a low price on many flashcarts but they have shut down as well. All the best sites are shutting down :(
http://shoptemp.net/ has price comparisons for many different resellers but not all of the resellers are reliable, however if one turns out to be untrustworthy you have kind of a safety net, these sites don't want to be taken off ShopTemp as it's good advertising for them so they will make sure to give you great service if you complain to Costello :P

thanks for the clear-up on theat, and thank you for the suggestion to search elsewhere, but i think I may go with the good old pandas.

I mean, do you think they'd betray you :ha:

I just picked up a DSTWO for my 3ds popped it in and away I went.
Working great on 10.5 emunand using reinand. It has real time saves and loads of other features like emulators and other random apps nice cart.

I second this 100%. I have numerous ds carts and without question this one is by far the best. I just bought another one from rev3ds and paid for the quicker shipping from USA and got it in a week sealed in retail package.

He has a 3DS with CFW already on it. He doesn't need a GBA emulator, and the 3DS can emulate the SNES better than the DSTwo can.

lol . . . you obviously dont own a dstwo

gba.cia games have no features like savestates dstwo gba emulation does (also frameskip)

also aflack while hbc snes emulation (blarg) is fullspeed the game compatibility (mario rpg anyone?) is hit or miss at best

dstwo is the most powerful feature rich ds mode flashcard on the market and the gba/snes emulation is still unmatched on any model ds (including emulators on n3ds)

3ds has enough resolution to show an entire SNES screen, which all by itself means it beats any DS flashcart for SNES emulation.

You're right about savestates for GBA, but GBA on 3DS doesn't need frameskip--it's running in hardware so it'll always be full speed.

bigger screen or the ability to play snes roms that had on cartage hardware . . . I'm sorry i cant see a larger screen being better than game compatibility
but GBA on 3DS doesn't need frameskip--it's running in hardware so it'll always be full speed.
i (&others) like to skip all the "bla bla bla" in pokemon games
