does ninjhax require the browser to work? or does it just require a internet connection? i ask this because i have a firmware 1.0.0 original 3ds wich obviously doesnt have a working browser, so i was thinking to use a gamecardridge to update it to a more recent firmware then use cubic ninja as entrypoint.

thanks in advance

I think it requires that you at least have a browser, which requires updating the 3DS at least once since you got it from the factory.

I've also heard that ninjhax will still work even if the browser is blocked.

Also 1.0.0? You should seriously sell that to a hardmodder so they can dump it: That's a firmware we still need (or want??) for documenting. By all means, please don't update that thing.

Big task, don't know if you want to actually do it or not, but I would strongly recommend making a NAND dump! I don't think anyone has actually managed to extract and distribute a 1.0.0 dump before. (unless someone has already done that; in that case, wanna fill me in?)

You don't need a browser for ninjhax 2.0-2.5. You do currently need 9.0 or higher but you want to avoid 9.3 plus because you'll be forced into a risky downgrade.

Updating to 4.1 to 4.5 is the best idea.

You could probably get a N3DS on a vulnerable firmware plus some cash left over by selling that to a hardmodder if you're legitimately on 1.0.0.
Definitely. I'd be willing to trade my hacked N3DS if pre10c could provide pictures of the 3DS' firmware in system settings. (Although I'd probably end up shipping it to a more experienced hardmodder anyway)

Anyway, sorry to derail the thread, but this is a pretty big deal. I can still help you if you choose to keep going with your O3DS, but I beg that you consider dumping that 1.0.0 firmware for future hacking development research.

@Reisyukaku You think his 3DS has what you need?
I already have a 1.0 dump :P
Thats how I got OTP. But i'd like to see if OP has goodies on his nand.
To answer OPs question, ninjhax1 uses browser, ninjhax 2 uses home menu. If you have cubic ninja, you can just use that to dump nand.

See https://gbatemp.net/threads/how-can-i-hack-1-0-0-0u-3ds.394976/page-4#post-5653222
and the QR is https://i.imgur.com/7Q35Tuy.png

I'd be very happy if you could dump the nand, and then produce a fat16 xorpad, and then use http://pastebin.com/NZpxC7qU

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.

@SylverReZ, atleast wiimmfii went fine although people only use it for Mario kart Wii

At least if they ban you for cheating, get another Wii. They're cheap as chips.

    not really

It got shutdown because somebody "accidentally" leaked the database for the amount of people using the beta.

RiiShop is the laziest way of downloading Wii games. Did somebody not think of this through?
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
although i ended up accidentally changing my nand with no way of going back bc i didn't know you needed a gamecube controller to restore it (i have a wii minus/1.1, which doesn't have gamecube controller support)
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, I think you're talking about the recovery mode that the SaveMii used, and also was to restore softbricked systems.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
If your NAND was hardbricked, then just buy another Wii. Or go with the dirty NAND flasher method.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
and if i find the sd card i have my NAND backed up on, i can not only restore the NAND if i solder the right part in, but i can also put my NAND on dolphin, then i can play dolphin online, like PMEX Remix or MKWii Riibalanced
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    Brb
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, Oh yeah, that was a thing too. Dolphin does support Wiimmfi.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
yeah you just need to put your NAND backup with wiimmfi on it
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
ngl i feel like if a bunch of my friends have wiis and know how to get wiimmfi and back up their NAND, then we could do a PMEX Remix tournament

maybe even add UMVC3/DBFZ and make it a biathlon/triathlon
