yeah the whitlist blocker me and cearp were using was not simply downgrading the whitelist (like gateway do), but basically stubbing it and leaving the version number at max, meaning system updates didn't even remove it......so i installed on 9.2, then updated to 9.4 to verify that it would persist through updates (not that anyone would really want to do that i did downgrade afterwards via hardmod)

HELLO!! hey hope someone know what's happening... :C I have two 2DS, one that I bought when Pokémon Y got released (Let's call 2DSY), and a Crystal Blue, that I bought recently... I have been able to downgrade TWL_Firm on the 2DSY to the most older one, while on the Crystal Blue I can only downgrade to the 6.x version... if I downgrade to 5.x or older, I get some glitchy white screen appearing at the boot of the games (Retail or GW Blue Cart) but when I try to launch EZ-Flash Vi, which runs perfectly on 2DSY, I always get an error on the FlashCart Init... I can play other games and flashcarts normaly... but no EZ-Flash Vi... some guessing of what can be happening?? could it be related to hardware?

EDIT: I have updated my 2DSY through Nintendo to 9.2 when it was released (Can't remmember which ver. comes at launch, think of 6.x), while my Crystal Blue I update it with SysUpdater (Comes with 7.x), could this be the reason? Some missing SysTitle?

Hi, just a very simple release, but useful and cool
Install this cia and you will be able to use DS mode flashcarts that have been blocked by Nintendo over time.
If it never worked on 3DS, this will not make it work. But, If it worked in FW 1.0, that chances are that it will work now.

I sent this to gamesquest1, and got him to confirm that it works, he tried with the gateway blue card on 9.4 (sysnand). He even made a nice little video because there are always people who doubt.

There is not much use using this on emunand, since I'm pretty sure we cannot use ds mode flashcarts in gw/classic mode.
You would use this if you are:
1 - On 4.x and have access to devmenu, and want to use a ds flashcart that was blocked, for example, the EZFlash Vi was blocked in 4.0. Installing this cia on my 4.5 sysnand, that card should work again.
2 - On 4.x and want to upgrade to the current fw, leave GW behind, whatever, you could install this and you would still be able to use ds mode flashcarts on the latest fw - probably forever unless Nintendo change something, they likely won't.
3 - If you have a New 3DS, we can't test it since we don't have devmenu access yet, but when we do, probably when we install this cia then things like gateway blue card will work Good news for the people that will be using GW with their N3DS, it will have a use ha. ---- but not tested.

Keep in mind, this is permanent, at the moment there is no way to undo this. Also, Nintendo should not be able to change it when you get an update. Which is good. (But this is their console, I am sure they could remove it/make it useless if they wanted, but I doubt they would bother)
Just a reminder, emunand is not needed, GW works fine without it, to install stuff (like this) on sysnand just don't load up in emunanad = don't have emunand on your big sd card.
If this for some reason b0rks your 3DS, sorry. It shouldn't at all, but still, not my fault.

I heard that you should not downgrade a 2DS to a version lower it's lauch because of system compatibility stuff o-o but never knew what really happens ...

I only downgrade TWL_Firm, and I have downgraded already the TWL_Firm of my first 2DS (2DSY), while the new one (Crystal Blue) is the one that is giving me that problem, let me take a shot and upload a Video showing the "Glitchy Screen"

at the boot, on the right part of the upper screen appear like a White "Ghost" crossing through all to the center of the screen, that's the glitch after install downgraded TWL_FIRM, it doesn't appear on my "2DSY" (both on SysNAND 9.2), and EZ-Flash runs perfectly, like the DSLite. Can't upload a video of that 2DS'cause it's bricked and I have to made a NANDMode to recover it, and I think the screen it's broken now... I don't really know what's happening or if I have installed something more on my 2DSY that is missing on Crystal Blue or if it's related to the hardware... both of them apparently have the Toshiba chip and seems to have the same hardware... but all is just guessing. Some help will be very appreciated! and thanks for your time!

Well, the error show on the EZ doesn't help? try sending the video to EZflash team see if they can help :x

Unless ou are sure that is that TWL-FIRM, I think you can get it with NUS... (was this the name? lol)

its depends ... is GW emunand you use? because i think it can't load the "ds game" anyway XD but don't worry just follow the instruction with patience xD

I am using rxtools for my emunand and my AceKard2i works now on the sysnand, but I get an error on the emunand. Is there some kind of Rxtools DS compatibility issue?

I'm almost sure that is something more than the EZ-Flash, 'casue how the video show and as I said before, it works normal on the DSLite and the other 2DS (Thanks, I need to get a new screen and made again the NANDmod, maybe some day I'll repair it xD) and that's what made me think of Hardware incompatibilities with old Software? at least on DSi area
