Hacking [Release] rxTools - Roxas75 3DS Toolkit [fw 2.0 - 9.2]

Dude, I know what I'm doing, so...

I'm using v2.5 NINJHAX (3ds folder and boot.3dsx). With this I can boot into HBL 2.5 with a CN cart or
use menuhax v2.1. So menuhax 2.1 on Ninjhax 2.5

I know you know what you're doing; it was directed at others. But you are still wrong. If you are not using a CN cart, you are NOT using Ninjhax. That's where the name Ninjhax comes from (exploiting the crappy save in Cubic Ninja). Ninjhax 2.5 loads HBL 2.5. Menuhax 2.1 also launches HBL 2.5 (or bootCTR, or ctrbootmanager). Let's not get into a pissing contest. You'll lose.

No problem. I maybe should have stressed that the additional side note was for the newbs...

And I should bring to light that a lot of newbs following a certain tutorial are setting menuhax up for autoboot before creating an emunand and unlinking it, then wondering why they are getting a black screen after updating emunand. SMH...

If you are one of those individuals that just downgraded from 10.3 and still get something like "can't find emunand" (or have said that you had this problem in the past), then PLEASE reply back with the current results and try to replace /rxTools/sys/code.bin with:

This code.bin isn't the very latest, but it isn't missing much and *may* have a fix for that issue. I need to know if that issue exists with the full release, and if this .bin corrects it.

I've also removed the outdated .PDF files and included the README.md (which doesn't have nearly the amount of information but does mention things such as the current browser URL you should be using if launching from browser on O3DS...

If launching emunand gets you a blank screen, ask yourself first: Are my nands still linked and/or did I have menuhax installed before making my emunand and updating it? Am I on an N3DS and updated emunand via system settings? If either of of those answers are "Yes". Punch yourself in the face

Yes to the first question: hold select when launching emunand. Then launch the HBL and use the menuhax thing to uninstall it. (or, edit the configuration file to NOT autoboot because it's not that hard to hold L when powering on, when you actually WANT to use menuhax)

Yes to the second: Backup your sysnand, inject it to emunand on your PC using emunandtool (pay attention to what I've said about menuhax). Then update emunand to 9.5 using sysupdater, by first launching emunand, then launch HBL via browser or whatever. You'll still want to unlink your nands. Pay attention to which folders are in your Nintendo 3DS folder, so you can delete the older ones. They change any time you format, so there should be 1 set for sysnand and 1 set for emunand.

Why are you guys using dropbox for the nightlies?
Dropbox has a traffic limit and will shut it down quickly, more so with such a popular app.

because the auto build thing is broken at the moment, and it's not ready to make an official release. I'm not really on the "team" even though I've recently been trying my best to contribute, so I'm using my personal dropbox account for this. I could take it down if you like, or you're welcome to mirror it somewhere else

Anyone know a nightlybuild that shows the TMD when you try to inject FBI in to the health & Safety? The one I run now only show "Complete! Europe!" nothing more. Reason is because I had to format my emuNAND to get NNID working and therefore it deleted FBI as I made a copy of sysNAND.

Why do you want to inject it anyway? You can just as easily (no... MORE easily) launch emunand, then launch HBL from browserhax, then install FBI.CIA and BBM.CIA from FBI.3dsx.

Pasta part? Elaborate. Pasta mode boots into SYSNAND without firmlaunch. If you're using pasta mode, you aren't seeing emunand in the first place. You need to launch emunand first, then launch HBL a second time (second, if that's how you launched rxmode emunand the first time) then use FBI to install FBI.cia.

Okay, so I'm on a N3DS 9.2u.. Downgraded from 10.3 after purchasing the console.. The newest builds of RXTools give me a black screen in emunand.. I can boot into RXMenu and what seems like dev/pasta mode. So, I'm wondering why I get black screens or freezes when trying to boot into emunand. Can anyone help me here? >> I can boot into emunand fine on 83afbb6.. but everything after that is a black screen. Is this the way it is? ..or am I just unlucky?

1) Done exactly the parts in the guide again, doesn't work for obvious reasons. But I can atleast install FBI to SD.
2) Trying to go direct from (coldboot) Menuhax to install FBI. No dice.
3) Enter rxTools like normal, coldboot Menuhax to ctrBootManager that autostarts rxTools. From there browserhax. Browserhax then again opens ctrBootManager, I then go in to HBL and FBI install, no dice.

So right now I have no idea. I'm thinking about installing Ironfall on my emunand and see if I can get through that way alternativly remove ctrBootManager until I got FBI installed again.

Otherwise, you're exactly one of the people I am looking for and I need you to try the code.bin that is also in my post above and tell me if that corrects your issue.

do you get any errors at all when installing the FBI.CIA? something about a title.db maybe?

Place the Homebrew launcher 2.5 on your SD car. Rename it to boot_hb.3ds.
Now place the ctrbootmanager boot.3dsx in your sd card.
Edit the config file so it does not auto boot anything.

Now, use browserhax to launch ctrbootmanager, and launch rxtools with it.
Launch rxtools in rxmode emunand
Launch ctrbootmanager via browserhax again, this time, choose HomeBrewMenu
Load FBI and install FBI.cia.

Reboot, and go back to rxmode emunand. You should have a new file to unwrap.

Yeah, I had menuhax installed when creating my emunand.. But I've been able to boot straight into emunand just fine on the build I listed. >>

Holding select does nothing, btw.

..and no.. the code.bin didn't work.
