FedEx smart delivers in 2 to 7 buisness days, so the date they gave you is the absolute latest they can give it to you. 1 business day passed 5 are coming, Saturday through Monday are weekend and holiday, leaving Tuesday and Wednesday (Wednesday is the 19th) as the last 2 possible business days. Since the package is only an hour or 2 away from you, I would say it will be there in 1 to 2 days given you supplied the seller with a correct address. The estimate they gave you is either the product of an error in the algorithm that determines delivery times, or FedEx is just being very modest. ^_^

Have you had fedex deliver to you early?
I'm scared they could be holding the package until the delivery date given, and it feels like they are holding the package at the town it states, hasn't been scanned since this morning.

They don't really do Sunday deliveries, and fedex smart doesn't include weekend deliveries. So, Don't be scared. I have had FedEx deliver packages to me early, very early in fact. A couple times even earlier than the minimum ship date (delivered in 5 days, when the estimate was 7-9 days, etc.). Other times the delivery was spot on, like my n3DS was delivered 2/15/15 12:02 or something like that, and they said it would be delivered 2/15/15 12:00 (they couldn't deliver it on time because of heavy traffic or something like that, or I would have gotten it on the 13th, release date. They even sent an email saying it would be a bit late, I didn't mind, just made more excited when it arrived).

And what caused you to think they would hold the package.

UPS did that to me, they didn't deliver until the date given even though the package was here 2 days before.

I know they don't do any Sunday delivery but the trucks (freight) still drives

UPS is not fedex. Fedex is better from my expreience.

Correct (except on holidays). :ha:

I added some info to my post above, if you want to read that, it's not super important, though. It just bugs me when I'm editing and the person I replied to replies to me before my post is complete.

That's a big difference :P

But I'm just so nervous all my life it was always UPS or USPS, never FEDEX. Never had any experience with them.

Well, I included that as an example of how good their service is.

There is no reason to be nervous, it's like trying new food... but with shipping elctronics.... and without the food...

Also, you were worried about how they hadn't scanned your package since the morning? The reason behind that is probably something like they have a route straight from the sorting facility to your home, so it would be left there until a business day, since they do not do Sunday delivery (unless you pay an absurd additional fee)

Oh I quoted the days because they seem off by the way. Very off.

Ignore the brown uniform, this is usually how my experience with FedEX goes.

Of course I'm kidding to a degree, but I do feel that FedEX is much more careless and I tend to get more broken stuff from them.

Dont get me started on DHL.

Ahh, I always go with Purolator (It's only Canadian I think) if I can. Once their driver screwed up and went the other way from Ontario, and were heading for the East but they realized it was going to be late if they sent it by truck so they air shipped it. Fantastic people.

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.
