Homebrew [Research Thread] Unbrick Downgraded consoles.

So a lot of people including my self have bricked their N3DS LL/XL with downgrading. I have high hopes since it still turns on. One solution could be to write a crypto exploit that would allow us to get inside the crypto algorithm to us to fake sign via hard mod. I'm not to sure how efficient that would be though...

You make it sound so simple.

Cryptography algorythms are designed to be hard to break if you don't have the keys, which we don't have.

That's why I was doubting efficiency.. This isn't your highschool math problem.

OMG so much hate, let him digress. Maybe, just maybe, he could give someone the idea of a software to umbrick the 3ds.
What about that talk on 32c3, about the keys?
What if we had the keys? Then what?

It isn't impossible, but it would be very hard, I would love to see it work tho
Edit: I mean focusing on Native_Firm would be better, before 10.4 comes

I thought that if it can still turn on at all you would be able to use recovery mode to fix it. Have you tried that yet?

hardbricked can't load recovery, softbricked can

I think the best option is just to buy another 3ds, because I'm sure a lot of ppl would have tried cracking this to get to exploitable firmware, but if this just allows us to run recovery mode, 10.4 comes out in about a week, i rather buy a 9.2 2ds
