Silly question time. After one fuckillion tries, im yet to install a single legit cia.
I guess you are right (again), downgrade seems to be a lot less work than the f bi
Silly question time.
How is the downgrade process a lot less work though? Isn't it using the same memchunk2 code to enable kernel access = as stable of a boot as FBI currently ?
Does anyone else have FBI freezing on Done? It worked before and I managed to install mk7 & Dream Team but now it wont work:/

Read this and you will understand, that only completely unaltered cias work.
You should read the above link too.
Read the OP. The whole process is really hit and miss but there's been plenty of people that have gotten it to work.
Basically you get homebrew all set up. Then after homebrew is working you will run the modified FBI. This is where it will get frustrating, especially since you will be using a N3DS, because you will have to keep launching the FBI until it gets the special privileges It requires to install the CIA files. But only LEGIT games can be installed.
There is this thing called Memchunk2, it somehow gains "admin" privileges. But how does a person on a N3DS install homebrew on 10.3? I asked "How do people install legit CIA's on a non downgraded N3DS?" Don't you have to downgrade to install homebrew? That's where my confusion lies.

You can install homebrew on n3ds by using Browserhax and then installing another hax called menuhax. These 'hax' will let you load homebrew launcher in which it is somewhat similar to a sony psp main menu. From there you can choose which homebrew apps to load, given that you have one installed on the sd card. One of these homebrew apps is thr FBI app, which lets you install CIA.
Though a certain FBI app has been tinkered with to allow legit CIA installation on 9.3 and above.
Hope this answers your question
Nope. But I just like the fact that Retroarch Emulators work better after downgrading.I think that helps a lot. So the only reason people downgrade is so they can install NON-legit CIA's? I thought you had to downgrade to even install/use Browserhax, Menuhax, HBL, etc. I guess that is not the case?
yup just gotta keep trying the eject trick or you could try turning wifi off, launch HBL through menuhax or ironhax, open blargSnes, exit blargSnes by touching the red X on the touch screen, then boot FBI, should launch by the 2nd or third try.Ugh, never mind -.- It is failing on 99%, description <unknown> etc. What should I do? Keep trying?
How does one turn the wifi off on N3DS? I'm used to a switch on the side.yup just gotta keep trying the eject trick or you could try turning wifi off, launch HBL through menuhax or ironhax, open blargSnes, exit blargSnes by touching the red X on the touch screen, then boot FBI, should launch by the 2nd or third try.
open the icon where you go to change themes and scroll down. should show the option to turn off wireless comm. How does one turn the wifi off on N3DS? I'm used to a switch on the side.

hmm thats a little odd but i remember seeing another person mention opening it after 3DScraft and having laggy menus also but hey if it works to install then yay!Hmm this is weird, I just tried after launching gpSP and it said Done, Loading Files popup and now I can select, but the menu is SUPER laggy? That's very new xD
