can u point me in the right direction on what u did or used to convert the GBA games into cia's properly?
A
certain site notorious for 3ds piracy contains several solid tutorials in their tut section for VC rom injection.
It's a bit complicated sounding at first, but really easy once you understand the process.
The tut might not mention it, but there are programs people on gbatemp made to streamline the banner making process and the like. You can find them if you look for them.
It's likely either the rom is giving you issues because it was a bad dump, injected wrong, or needs a save fix patch.
I've only encountered a single gba game that I was unable to get working properly after injecting due to it being a port of an arcade cabinet board to gba hardware.
Pokemon games can be tricky though, they require some manual intervention to get the save and battery backup feature working smoothly.
edit: Looking in my gba injection folder here's some tools you might need:
GBA_VC_Banner_and_Icon_Generator
3ds_gbaftrgen
3ds_simple_gba
gbata (not needed but handy for checking what the title is going to be identified as when installed)
3DS To CIA Converter
Oh and of course LunarIPS for rom patching.

That sounds good.... Color restoration.... I didn't know we could do that.... I wouldn't mind trying that.... Any links for a tutorial?
There's only a few games with patches out for color fixes.

They are much better than the washed out (lightened) versions of the games that came out to compensate for the lack of the first gba model's backlight.
Just look around that site, they have all the Super Mario Advance color fixes if I remember right, and FF6/3 color fixes uncensored patches, and sound restoration patches.
