i already hve these files!
Since you have EMUNAND (unlinked NANDs, I suppose, because you can coldboot). There should be 2 folders in Nintendo 3DS folder. Make sure in each path, there is a dbs folder and 2 files: import.db and title.db

Just re-read your last post. So the FBI injection was unsuccessful. Try this:

"
1. Boot up your 3DS and launch rxTools. Hold L when the bottom screen glitches to get into the menu.

2. Press dpad RIGHT to go to Advanced Options -> Press A -> Install FBI -> Press A -> choose EMUNAND, then select "check TMD version".
If you want to install GBA/DSi games in the future:
Choose sysnand the second time you go over this section (Step 4a)
3. Take note of the console region and the TMD version, and turn off your 3DS.

4. Open the rxtools download and open the "Tools/fbi_injection/[region]/[version]" folder and copy the "fbi_inject.app" and "fbi_inject.tmd" files to the SD card root dir."

Any chance of seeing FBI updated to use memchunkhax2 for installing legit cias to sysnand?

Yeah, pretty scary. You didn't specify hahaha. Let some time pass, we will eventually get there.

Eh its not "brick your console" unstable. At least it doesnt seem that way.

The problem I have is that I am on my 15th (i think, lost count) reboot and relaunch attempt and I cannot get FBI to launch properly.

Change entrypoint. Try menuhax or ironhax. Oot3dhax is working ok, some say.

Guess I am one of the unlucky ones. "Install failed!"

>_> got it working and its installing the first of 5 cias i needed to test now. Here's hoping it keeps working.

O3DS on 10.3.0-28U, used browserhax to launch HBL and install menuhax. Used menuhax from then on. At that point I proceeded with the reboot ad nauseum method. Out of 30+ attempts I got into FBI with memchunkhax2 failing about 10 times, got 5-10 times where it froze on "Done" (a few with glitched text, most without), and got into FBI with memchunkhax2 successful and successfully installed a signed cia (Pokemon X) one time. The rest locked up at various stages.

I'm having trouble getting my smash bros DLC to show up. n3DS 9.5 emunand with rxTools. Installing the DLC .cia seems to work, but it doesn't appear in-game. Same thing occurs with my Streetpass plaza dlc. The DLC I bought before works fine, but installing the DLC CIAs does nothing. I hope this is the right thread to ask this in.

So...I injected FBI into the H&S app on both my 9.2 sysNAND and 10.3 emuNAND on my o3ds using rxtools. To my surprise, FBI launched on my emuNAND. To install CIAs that I can run in emuNAND, can I use the FBI in my emuNAND? If not, would installing a CIA to sd using my sysNAND FBI still cause them to show up in my emuNAND?

It's fine to install things in emuNAND, using firmlaunchax the CFW loads a modified firmware which has signatures patched out, even on emuNAND, which allows you to install and run unsigned CIAs there :)
